This internship position will be physically located in Roseville, CA.
Description:
Serving as an Intern within Systems & Software Engineering at HPE entails working on tasks/projects in support of a research and development team to define and validate next generation networking solutions which integrate local area networking and wireless networking.
Responsibilities:
· Participates in implementation and validation of network solutions which integrate multiple HPE Aruba Networking product lines as well as 3rd party products and applications
· Participates in customer support activities, processes and projects
· Customer scenario validation - setup and validation of solutions and integration activities based on specific validation requirements
· Develops an understanding of software development, test processes and career opportunities
Desired profile
Education Required:
At time of start, intern should have completed sophomore year of a high school program with the intent to pursue STEM or equivalent. Preferred GPA: 3.5 or higher.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
· Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
· Ability to understand technology and user installation guides
· Basic understanding of Software Product Development Lifecycle
· General knowledge of computer hardware and troubleshooting
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Accountability and ability to take initiative to solve problems
· Familiarity with networking hardware, configurations and debugging concepts
· Familiarity with a server operating systems and network configurations
· Familiarity with Perl, Python, C, or other programming languages
