Aruba a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, a world-wide leader in information technology and networking, is seeking a trainee in electrical engineering, information technology or telecommunications for its sales support team based out of Vancouver, Calgary, Or Winnipeg.
Under the responsibility of a senior engineer, the trainee will:
· Learn the Aruba portfolio
· Participate in customer meetings
· Assist Senior System Engineers in RF predictive surveys
· Assist Senior System Engineers in lab setup and testing
· The trainee will also be encouraged to actively participate in customer discussions around architecting solutions to problems
· Interaction with Product Line Management and Technical Marketing
· Ability to attend online product training
· Following internship knowledge to take industry level certification exams
This internship is a real opportunity to learn more about networking, directly in a sales support environment. It is also an opportunity to work in a professional setting with cutting edge technology.
Education and Experience Required:
· 3rd Year of University completed-typically a technical degree specialization
· Must have valid driver’s license and vehicle
Technical Requirements:
· Knowledge of TCP/IP networks and technologies
· Knowledge of IP and WiFi wireless networks;
· knowledge of platforms like Ekahau and Ansible a plus!
· Asset: interest network automation, network design
· Asset: experience in configuring and installing network equipment and software such as: routers, web servers, RADIUS servers, etc.
