Summary:

The HPE Chippewa Falls Manufacturing Operations Team builds servers, racked solutions, and integrated solutions. In general, we utilize contingent headcount in several areas including: inventory control, server assembly, server test, server pack, rack assembly, rack test, rack pack, system integration, test, and shipment. The Chippewa Falls MFG Facility currently has 1 shift, working 5x8, Monday through Friday. Overtime may be required, typically 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, but other hours/days may be required. HPE Chippewa Falls is a configure-to-order facility, allowing an array of challenges and learning possibilities for those with a positive and flexible attitude.

Job Description:

·  Works with small & large components to assemble solutions per customer specifications.
·  Integrates servers, storage, switches, power distribution units, sub-assemblies, and associated cabling into racks and multi-rack systems.
·  Work is varied and complex at times.
·  Verify proper components are received per order pick list prior to build.
·  Scan all components into the manufacturing shop floor system to ensure proper parts and inventory tracking.
·  Use online methods and work instructions to build racks per customer specification.
·  Responsible for maintaining tools and a safe & clean work area.
·  Responsible for maintaining proper dress code as described and maintaining acceptable attendance levels per attendance policy.
·  Responsible for following all rules and regulations of the facilities as described during new hire orientation.
·  Will work on assignments that are routine to moderately complex in nature and require basic problem resolution and independent judgment.
·  Assist lead, supervisor, or peers as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
·  Requires good understanding of the general/technical aspects of the job.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

·  Must be familiar with using different computer applications and be able to navigate simple software.
·  Must have the ability to operate manual and power hand tools.
·  Experience with pallet jack a plus. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. repetitively over an 8 hour period while standing and bending.
·  Must pass minimum requirement testing.
·  In general, this is considered a primary position where the worker applies basic knowledge of the job skills and company policies and procedures to complete a variety of assignments/tasks.
·  Requires good understanding of the general/technical aspects of the job.
·  Must maintain successful communication and working relationship with management & peers of all levels, and reciprocate professional, team-oriented performance.

Experience & Education:

·  Must have a minimum 1 year work history.
·  Relevant work history preferred but is not required for this position.
·  A high school degree is required for this position.
·  Conditions: Working conditions are typical for a manufacturing environment.
·  The ability to work standing up and or bending or stooping repetitively for 8 hours is required. Associates must be able to stand the entire shift.
·  Your safety is important to HPE, therefore steel toe overshoes may be provided and their use or that of other personal protective equipment is required when utilizing certain equipment.

Parking is available on site. Our facility is an 8x5 operation with occasional paid overtime, based on customer demand.
