Pointnext is currently hiring a Sr. Solutions Architect for our High Performance Computing (HPC) practice who will develop, design, integrate and educate our clients on SGI solutions.  A Senior Solutions Architect is a thought leader in a consultative organization focused on delivering value to HPC clients.

THIS ROLE REQUIRES a TS SECURITY CLEARANCE. TS/SCI Clearance preferred.

As an HPC Solution Architect, you will help identify, pursue, close and deliver strategic business development opportunities while continually driving add-on business within existing accounts. To accomplish this, the SGI Solution Architect must be effective in fostering client relationships. Paramount to success is understanding the client environment and having the vision to seek out new capabilities either through HPE engineering or partners. The successful candidate will help translate business requirements into technology and services requirements for inclusion in contracts and/or statements of work (SOWs).

Further, candidates should have knowledge of architectural frameworks, methodologies, and tools and understand how to apply this knowledge to successfully deliver customer projects. Establish and maintain a professional working relationship at multiple levels both internally and with the customer by understanding the customer’s business context and their unique situation. Collaborate with both internal and external/industry experts to anticipate customer needs in order to facilitate the definition and development of the solution. Strong supporters of the professional development framework for their profession and use the knowledge and best practice derived from their professional associations to the benefit of their customers. Collaborate with project managers to ensure effective and efficient development, delivery, deployment, operation and support of these IS solutions. Collaborate with the account team to meet or exceed revenue, product, customer satisfaction and market share goals for assigned account(s).

Responsibilities:

·  Architect custom solutions of project and program or operational scope.
·  Develop HPC solutions comprised of HPE, Partner, and Open Source technologies for use in new marketing initiatives by assessing potential trends / opportunities, developing and driving strategic directions from market information with the goal of maximizing new business growth, delivering profitable transactions and ensuring sustainable success through Continual Service Improvement (CSI) effort.
·  Cultivate and maintain strong, lasting relationships with executive level partner/client contacts to gain insight into the business imperatives
·  Analyze client challenges and determine solution requirements by working with HPE and Partner project teams to create Level of Effort (LOE) estimates, risks and mitigation strategies, deliverables for SOWs, and relevant client documentation deliverables.
·  Serve as the technical lead for large-scale integration efforts delivering HPC solutions of the highest quality to clients and guiding other technical members of the integration team.
·  Interface with HPE Sales, Marketing, Consulting & Services team members and leadership to drive solution strategy and account growth.
·  Provide thought leadership and guidance internally to various HPE teams and externally in social media, professional organizations, and conferences
·  Contribute to the enrichment of the team through mentoring, Lessons Learned sessions, and the creation of HPC practice documentation and training materials.

Education and Experience:

·  TS CLEARANCE REQUIRED!
·  Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant discipline (preferred) and/or equivalent work experience.
·  Minimum 7 years of experience in the HPC practice with 5 – 10 years of Solution Architect experience and solution development/delivery for HPC clients
·  Desired experience with Linux (SLES and RHEL) and Unix operating systems, job schedulers, OpenStack, scripting, performance tuning, storage configuration, GPGPUs, system administration, HPC application tuning
·  Preferred certifications include ITIL, Security+, Linux+
·  Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for US Security Clearance, TS/SCI Clearance preferred . TS CLEARANCE REQUIRED



This role requires frequent travel 25% - 75%.
