About the Federal Professional Services Consultant

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Pointnext is currently seeking highly qualified and motivated candidates for a Federal Professional Services Consultant to be based in Denver, CO. No relocation assistance available.

The Federal Professional Services Consultant (PSC) is a technical subject matter expert, expected to engage in complex software analysis as well as hardware troubleshooting as required. The PSC provides in-depth technical and software expertise on SGI systems within the customers' environments.

Current, active TS-SCI clearance required.

Current, active CI Polygraph desired.

In this role, you will use your skills in RedHat Linux administration and/or development, and your experience developing and troubleshooting software within MySQL and/or PHP on a daily basis. You are a highly motivated, customer-facing, technical expert across compute, storage and related software solutions.

As the Federal PSC, you will become a primary technical interface to the customer, acting within a team of other PSCs and System Support Engineers, recognizing customer needs, interpreting them, and producing comprehensive solutions.

You will operate within this team at a secure customer operational site. Teamwork and adaptability are key, as well as a willingness to learn all applicable hardware and software platforms and the interplay among them within a larger system.

Responsibilities

·  Identify and understand requirements driven by the Customers technical and workflow constraints
·  Understand and adapt to the customers’ environment, objectives, and needs
·  Monitor system performance and recommends changes for improvement
·  Teams with Sales and on-site teammates in order to stay abreast of account activity, escalations, and planned upgrades
·  Manages system integration, software and hardware upgrades, and configuration changes as required
·  Utilizes system tools, diagnostics, and technical documentation to expedite solution delivery
·  Provides system and application support based off of the customers SGI installed systems
·  Develop task-specific applications or scripts as required within the confines of the customer environment
·  Attain and maintain CompTIA Security + certification
·  Maintain TS-SCI Security Clearance

Qualifications

Current, active TS-SCI clearance required.

Current, active CI Polygraph desired.

Education and Experience Required

·  Bachelor’s (or higher level) degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
·  7+ years' experience in Computer Technology, preferably in a High Performance Computing environment
·  Without a Bachelor's or higher level degree, an additional 2 years’ experience, for a total of 9+ years’ relevant experience

Knowledge and Skills Required

·  RedHat Linux Administration and/or development experience; 5+ years’ experience preferred
·  Experience developing and troubleshooting software within MySQL and/or PHP
·  Proven, effective written and verbal communication skills
·  Experience with tape management, high performance storage, and Hierarchical Storage Management Systems desirable
·  Strong knowledge base of object-oriented development, Open Source HPC software stacks, JAVA, C++, Linux distributions, and Software Development life-cycles desirable
·  Working knowledge of Lustre file systems desirable
