Communication & Media Solution(CMS) group in HPE works to streamline innovation and simplify Telecom with superior solutions. By combining years of experience in Telecom Domain with Data center experience of HPE, CMS is well settled to play its role in evolving the telecom networks of today towards 5G revolution.

We are looking for a hands on  Agile Software Development Manager  , for Mobile Core & 5G(MC5G) R&D portfolio in Bangalore India to lead the iHSS product development team in evolving the product incrementally following best of the class Agile SW development practices.

Responsibilities 

·  Provides direct and ongoing leadership to a team of individual contributors designing, developing, validating and delivering world class product in a predictable manner.
·  Manages team headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated as per the goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets in accordance with product/program priorities.
·  Understanding customer feedbacks from reporting defect data to facilitate continuous evolution of better test/validation strategies.
·  Works with release managers, other project managers, and Solution Family leadership to communicate team status, escalate issues, and guide and influence product decision-making
·  Manages relationships with partner teams including setting joint expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, timelines; ensures that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating with others
·  Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction opportunities, especially within team
·  Provides overall people-care management for direct reports, including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development. Ensures that proper knowledge and career development tools are in place to support ongoing team member and process development
·  Act as Project Manager and team Scrum Master, facilitating the scrum/agile process, facilitating team self-organization, helping team communicate and collaborate, helping coordinate outside the team, helping to resolve impediments, shielding team from interferences, and guiding team in following agile practices and principles
·  Contribute to general management activities of MC5G group, including recruiting, salary administration, equipment planning, community contributions etc. 

Knowledge and Skills 

·  Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team-building, and conflict resolution.
·  Ability to quickly build trust, credibility and relationship within and outside the team (with global stakeholders)
·  Advanced Agile project management skills including time and risk management, resource prioritization, and project structuring.
·  Advanced business acumen, technical knowledge, and extensive knowledge in applications and technologies
·  Experience in hiring, building and retaining a cohesive strong technical team.
·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·  Excellent track record of delivering high quality solutions on schedule
·  Proven track record in working across multiple geographies and cultures
·  Demonstrated interpersonal relations and personnel management skills.
·  Prior Knowledge & Experience in managing the Development of complex Enterprise product (great if this is in telecom domain)
·  Awareness about Software systems testing methodology, including execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools
·  Hands on experience in driving Agile SW Development, test strategies, Test Automation & its linkage with CI/CD.
·  Minimum 5 years’ experience on handling SW development on Linux/Unix platform.
·  Hands on experience with Virtualization. Awareness about Cloud concepts
·  Management experience of C/C++ product development team.
·  Exposure to BDD/Cucumber, Continuous Integration tools (like Jenkins), Git/Gerrit/Maven, Test Automation Concepts & tools
·  Should have proven experience in project execution using SCRUM; Awareness about Scaled Agile Framework(SAFE) concepts would be an added advantage
·  Should be a practitioner & driver of agile best practices in the area of requirement capturing, prioritization, estimation, refactoring, non-regression and continuous integration
·  Should have the vision of developing & driving self-organizing agile team
·  Should be able to handle ambiguity and provide meaningful direction to the team 

Education and Experience 

·  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
·  15-20 years’ experience, with at least 3-5  years experience as development manager.
