Job Family Definition:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, analysis of business requirements, coding of modifications or new program, creation of documentation, testing and maintenance of applications, infrastructure, and information systems including database management systems.
Works within the Information Technology function, obtaining resources and working in support of objectives and strategies. Provides required documentation and participates in architecture reviews to ensure that the solutions comply with standards and use approved technologies.
This position will be responsible for developing software for the Global DBA group to help manage the DbaaS (Database as a Service) environment.
What you’ll do:
·
Develop and maintain various types of software using internal DBA systems, Infrastructure systems and ITSM Software (ServiceNow).
·
Develop and maintain ServiceNow catalog items, scripts, discovery code and dashboards for DB integration components.
·
Provide technical expertise to other, non-DBA areas for improvements to other software for Global DBA requirements.
·
Provide thorough testing for other team developed software that impacts/interfaces with DBA area.
What you need to bring:
·
A BS in computer Science, Information System or equivalent degree and/or experience and a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
·
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.
·
2 years experience ServiceNow programming (scripting, catalog/workflow development, dashboards)
·
2 years experience in JavaScript
·
Experience with ServiceNow discovery
·
Experience with other languages such as Python and HTML
·
Experience in Ansible or Chef a plus
·
Database Programming experience with multiple Database technologies including SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, or MySQL/MariaDB/PostgreSQL
·
Infrastructure architecture experience a plus
·
Efficiency in developing Power BI reports as needed.
·
Strong organizational and time management skills
·
Communicate/work effectively in a team environment
