Global Security  Engineering & Operations is looking for a Cloud Security Engineer.   Engineering and Operations within Global Security is responsible for engineering, developing and maintaining tooling and processes for Global Security and HPE as a whole. The Global Security Design and Engineering Professional 1V candidate's primary duties include defining, developing and implementing security controls for cloud ecosystems and support HPE's "edge to cloud as a Service" transformation

The expert Cloud Security Engineer will collaborate with multiple engineering and security teams to ensure the highest security standards are developed, applied, and maintained.   Individuals should be champions of security who are eager to work on a collaborative team to drive change, create security tools and services, and to solve problems.  We are looking for individuals with a passion for security, technology, and innovation.

This role can be located anywhere in the United States/remote.

Responsibilities

·  Lead the build out of Cloud security control catalog, security policies and procedures and assist in enforcing them.
·  Analyze existing cloud structures  and create new and enhanced security methods.
·  Help Define, Develop and Implement a framework to deliver  "Security as a Service"
·  Stay  abreast with emerging cloud technologies and their AWS implementations, as well as their impact on the security landscape.
·  Coach, mentor and develop team members

Knowledge and Skills

·  Collaborate well with teammates across functions including the ability to enable those teammates via formal and informal training and mentoring
·  This position requires strong written and verbal communication skills in English language.
·  Demonstrated ability to accurately assess problems and requests from multiple perspectives, analyze approach feasibility, and decide on the efficient course of action.
·  Have a broad understanding of general software development practices, the associated risks, and the components of a modern product security program
·  Working as a Full Stack Engineer including building large scale and distributed applications using Cloud Native technologies
·  Experience leading design and security reviews of cloud-based and/or SaaS systems
·  Expert knowledge of AWS architecture, security, and services
·  Strong understanding of networking basics, including TCP/IP and layer 7 protocols
·  Experience in at least one modern programming language ( (e.g., Python, Go, JS, React, C#, etc.)  to automate tasks and manipulate data
·  Experience with container security and container orchestration tools
·  Experience with DevSecOps, Code Security and relevant tools.
·  Experience with implementation of multi-tenant cloud environments is a plus
·  Experience working in security focused roles (e,g, Operations, Engineering, IR) is a plus
·  Demonstrated experience working with teams across various geographies is a plus.

Education and Experience Required

·  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
·  7 or more years of experience in one or more of these critical areas: Information Security Technology, Engineering, Operations, Technology Infrastructure and Proof of Concept - testing labs.
