A Cluster Director of Human Resources will manage Human Resource related activities including succession planning, talent management, recruitment, learning and development and training, performance management, compensation and benefits, and employee relations initiatives.  In this role, you will be responsible for three iconic properties on Yas Island: Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island, The WB™ Abu Dhabi, Curio Collection by Hilton™ and DoubleTree by Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island Residences.

Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island features 545 rooms and is home to signature dining venues and cafes, a fully equipped kids’ club, a spa and a multipurpose conference center. Located in close proximity to diverse leisure and entertainment attractions on Yas Island, the hotel provides guests with luxurious accommodation while they experience all that the island has to offer.

The WB Abu Dhabi, Curio Collection by Hilton, is the world’s first Warner Bros. branded hotel. Guests will be able to experience recognizable characters from across Warner Bros.’ iconic collection of film, television and comics. This unique hotel is adjacent to the award-winning Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi theme park. The hotel will feature 257 rooms over eight levels, with guests able to access a range of amenities, including signature WB restaurants, a premier spa and fitness club, kids club, family pool and an exclusive rooftop pool overlooking Yas Island’s distinctive skyline.

DoubleTree by Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island Residences provides a variety of options that accommodate different needs, especially larger families looking for more space and in-room amenities. A total of 156 units offers guests a range of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom accommodation. Full amenities include in-room kitchenettes, gym, pool and a variety of recreation facilities. The property is within walking distance from Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi and Yas Waterworld and in close proximity to Yas Island’s other attractions and experiences, including Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, CLYMB Abu Dhabi and numerous world-class F&B outlets on the Island.

 

What will I be doing?

As a Cluster Director of Human Resources, you will be responsible for the effective management and performance of all Human Resources related activities. This includes talent management, succession planning, learning and development and training, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and health and safety initiatives. Specifically, a Cluster Director of Human Resources will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

·            Leverage property and country-level data to provide property performance insights and identifying high-performance areas, and opportunities for enhancement.
·            Plan and forecast the short and long-term talent requirements for the hotel to support its business plans
·            Maintain a best practice recruitment approach, including the ability to proactively identify talent needs and attract the best applicants
·            Collaborate with local (Emirate-level and national) partners to drive nationalization objectives and priorities, with skilled local talent.
·            Build a strong career and succession planning system to retain and develop internal talent
·            Implement training and development strategies to continuously improve performance and guest experiences
·            Human Resources database and payroll system, management, ownership and oversight
·            Support and maintain relationship with key stakeholders including, but not limited to, government office representatives, PRO Office leadership, owner’s representatives, Executive Committee members and hotel leadership.
·            Have oversight on team member facilities which includes team member accommodation, team member dining facilities, and back of house areas.
·            Provide a framework for counseling, coaching, and welfare services
·            Manage employee engagement activities including the calendar of sports & social events, and reoccurring employee engagement surveys
·            Manage and resolve, promptly and completely, all employee relations issues
·            Maintain an awareness of competitor human resources activities and best practices, including legislation compliance and labour law related activities

·            Tertiary qualifications, or other collegiate-level degree, in Human Resources or related field, required (CIPD certified is advantageous)
·          Previous human resources management experience in the hotel and/or leisure sector (Director-level experience preferred)
·            Excellent leadership skills and exceptional communication skills
·            Strong financial, commercial and business acumen
·            A passion for leadership and the vision to create a winning team
