A Bell Service Attendant serving Waldorf Astoria Maldives is responsible for transferring and storing guest luggage and responding to guest requests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
What will I be doing?
As a Bell Service Attendant for Waldorf Astoria Maldives will be responsible for the Overall Bell service, providing personalized service to all the guests of the Resort. This position is concerned with the responsibility of collecting and delivering guest luggage, messages, and any other items in a fast, efficient, and courteous manner.. Specifically, as a Bell Service Attendant for Waldorf Astoria Maldives you will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
· To fully support the Company’s values and culture to ensure guest satisfaction.
· To be fully familiar with the Waldorf Astoria Brand Standards and the Quality Assurance Audit and to follow these standards of service at all times.
· To keep up-to-date with the SALT results and to seek to positively influence these results by following the Waldorf Astoria Brand Standards.
· To maintain a high guest service focus by approaching your job with the guests always in mind and being proactive in a timely manner towards their needs and requests.
· To have a positive impact, taking personal responsibility and initiative to resolve issues, always clearly communicating with both guests and colleagues.
· To actively promote the services and facilities of the Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi and the Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts to guests and suppliers of the Resort.
· To maintain a high standard of appearance and personal hygiene at all times by adhering to the Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi Grooming Standards.
· To report to duty punctually and consistently.
· To have a complete understanding of and adhere to the resort’s policy relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety and take necessary action when required.
· To provide guests with friendly, efficient, accurate and polite service at all times.
· To be flexible, responding quickly and positively to changing requirements including the performance of any tasks requested of you.
· Careful operating of resort buggy and maintenance of the same. Ensuring waiting time to be at a minimum.
· To takes direction from and carry out any requests by management in conjunction with work.
· Follows True Waldorf Service Delivery Standards operating standards at any time, in Front Office.
· Provide our guests with a fast and efficient delivery and collection of luggage upon check-in and checkout and for all room moves.
· Careful operating of resort buggy and maintenance of the same. Ensuring waiting time to be at a minimum
· Any other tasks as required by our Guests, Supervisors or Management.
· To co-ordinate any outstanding issues with related departments.
· To assist PR/Sales department in conducting show around for Press/Fam Trips
· Ensure a high level of product knowledge of the Resort
· Be the training champion for the Bell Service team and report directly to the Duty Manager
· To update existing documentation on a regular basis
· Effectively communicate with all other team members
· Report directly to the Duty Manager any complaints from a guest immediately
· Seeks to minimize costs through correct use and handling of hotel property and equipment
· To assist the Transport Manager and give support for the running of the overall team
· To be part of the Seaplane operations and learn for future promotional chances.
· Promotes Team Member motivation
· To attend and actively participate in training sessions and monthly communication meetings
· To ensure punctuality, excellent grooming and hygiene
· To seek direction and support on a daily basis
· To keep excellent relationships with team, peers, and all other colleagues of the hotel.
· To report training needs to team leader/ manager
· To attend daily operations briefing with direct reports/supervisors
· Any other tasks as requested by our guests, supervisor or Management of the resort

Experience
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in the same or similar role, experience in Guest relations, or guest experience role in a Luxury Resort.
· Knowledgeable of multicultural service protocols and standards.
· Strong ability to operate and successfully arbitrate in a complex international and multicultural environment.
· Excellent guest relations and problem-solving skills.
· Good planning and execution skills with the ability to be persistent while focusing on detailed elements of tasks.
· Excellent time management, organizational, communication, and motivational skills.
· Have impeccable follow-through.
Competences
· Candidate must have a good command of spoken and written English. Fluency in another language is an advantage.
· Pays attention to detail and have strong customer service skills.
· Mature, meticulous, resourceful, organized, and able to work independently.
