Roles and Responsibilities:
- Role will lead various Thomspon Reuters application implementations, including but not limited to OIT and OTP. Expected to be in house TR expert for the functional teams.
- Upon a successful implementation, role will shift towards monthly maintenance, access requests, setup changes, etc.
- Role will include management of another in-house system admin.
- Role will include the management of 3rd party vendor relationships, including implementation teams.
- As part of the overall Tax Technology team the following are expected as a general practice activities.
- Participates in gathering and analyzing functional tax requirements.
- Drives technology solutions that support filings, enterprise systems and a competitive advantage; all while executing flawless compliance
- Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise within their discipline. May require strong commercial awareness and is expected to influence the development of strategy within own area, including control of resources and policy formulation.
- Impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. Work is subject to functional policy objectives. Regularly advises management in the function and/or in the business. Has a supportive role in decision making about important subjects. High levels of evaluative judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.
- Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems that impact the function. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
- Collaborates with other departments within the organization, including tax, finance, accounting, IT, to ensure alignment of tax processes with regulatory requirements and organizational goals.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong experience in with Thompson Reuters products, including but limited to OTP/OIT
