Job Description Summary

For client facing roles, use Operational EHS family. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

o    Execute and ensure site operations are in compliance with all federal, state, and local EHS regulations and GE EHS management system requirements 
o    Develop and communicate site’s EHS imperatives, goals and initiatives across organization
o    Collaborate with Operations and Facilities teams to implement programs to drive a proactive and positive safety culture 
o    Conduct learning teams in response to EHS events and conduct / validate accident investigations to determine root cause and proactive solutions
o    Conduct EHS audits in support of compliance assurance activities
o    Support GE Vernova business EHS leader on execution of business EHS priorities.
o    Supports EHS Coordinators and Safety Leader in execution of EHS projects and initiatives
o    Manage EHS data in Gensuite system.
o    Lead program to operationalize GE Vernova’s Life Saving Rules.
o    Lead and support EHS projects and initiatives aligned to Greenville plant goals and objectives. 
o    Utilize and integrate technology to enhance EHS systems and programs. 
o    Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications

o    Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
o    Minimum 2 years EHS experience

Desired Characteristics

o    Bachelor's degree in EHS from an accredited university or college

o    Strong oral and written communication skills.
o    Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
o    Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
