Role Summary/Purpose

Ensure an uninterrupted supply of materials to support production and sales. Work to resolve Materials issues while achieving and maintaining inventory business metrics.
Essential Responsibilities

100% responsible for Material fulfillment for assigned material group/Commodity with overall ownership of material ordering, availability, and scheduling targeting 2-week inventory levels, at a minimum. Be responsible for raw material scheduling, procurement follow up and expediting .
Support NPI efforts of Machining COE for serial production fulfillment.
Analyze and track Supplier promise date accuracy and develop reports to ensure Supplier promise date accuracy
Identify and react to material plans that do not meet customer requirements
Maintain data accuracy in respective Sourcing tools ( ERP, Workflows, resolving invoice issues with Accounts Payable Team), internal Libraries, etc.)
Communicate and resolve issues with GE Logistics , Custom COE
Co-ordination for On time Supplier payment
Ensure systemic accuracy of inventory
Rescheduling materials for pull ins (expedites) and push outs (for inventory control)
Daily Shortage root cause investigation and resolution
Partner closely with suppliers focusing on: Packaging needs, min/max planning. PCNs, as they relate to old/existing parts, materials replenishment planning.
Conduct daily walks on the floor and the receiving dock to investigate and resolve material issues
Manage Phase In / Phase Out (NPI) to minimize obsolete material
Provide supply analysis data and recommendations as necessary.  Provide fulfillment update

Support tool development for prediction of material issues
Support all lean activities, initiatives, and action workouts
Support vendor recovery with SQE and Finance

Work with Sourcing Commodity Leaders to execute on Supplier fulfillment plan
Work closely together with the responsible Quality Engineers to ensure quality requirements are met and start qualification workflow and place First Peace Orders, set up regular meetings with Quality Engineers
Know, understand and follow Sourcing procedures
Coordinate Engineering Change Orders with Advanced Manufacturing and define cut in dates

Supplier visits, as needed - internal and external
Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor’s Engineering degree from an accredited college at least 1 - 4 years of experience in a Material Planning capacity, Materials or Purchasing Operations
Strong quantitative and analytical skills;
Strong PC and database management skills, including MS Office.
Experience with ERP systems
Experience on resolving payment issues
