As a Fluid Systems Lead Engineer, you will be part of a team that is working on technologies that will advance the commercial aviation industry towards our net carbon zero 2050 goal.

This position is for our ground and flight advanced demonstrators to create the future of flight.

You will be involved in the analysis, design, and testing of fluid system components and systems, as well as documenting requirements and lessons learned.

You will partner with suppliers to design, integrate, manufacture, and test components that include new technology in GE Aerospace demonstrator engines.

You will also be the point of contact with our counterparts globally and will drive integration and correct interaction among engineering teams for Fluid Systems items and their integration into design processes.

You will be involved in the analysis, design, and testing of fluid system components and systems, as well as documenting requirements and lessons learned.

You will partner with suppliers to design, integrate, manufacture, and test components that include new technology in GE Aerospace demonstrator engines.

You will also be the point of contact with our counterparts globally and will drive integration and correct interaction among engineering teams for Fluid Systems items and their integration into design processes.

Roles and Responsibilities

·  Establish and execute analysis and trade-off studies related to fluid system components to meet program milestones.
·  Build and run system-level models from mechanical and hydraulics first principles that represent expected behavior at the test vehicle to define integration requirements.
·  Understand and translate system-level requirements into tangible product characteristics.
·  Effectively support the Engineering organizations, meeting the KPIs and business targets defined (such as OTD, FTY, savings, budgets), as well as identifying leading indicators.
·  Identify technical and program risks that may represent significant roadblocks and execute risk avoidance/mitigation actions.
·  Collaborate with engineering organizations (local and global) towards a clear vision and short- and long-term priorities alignment.

Minimum Job Requirements:

·  Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or equivalent
·  Experience working with Control Systems, Electrical, Fuel, or Lube Systems on New Product Introduction or similar processes
·  Experience on fuel/lube system components and sub-components and engine integration
·  Experience building system models from mechanical and hydraulic first principles
·  Experience working with suppliers and/or Revenue-Shared Partners
·  Expertise interpreting fuel/lube systems schematics and monitoring systems
·  Experience creating test plans, post-processing, and documenting results
·  Solid contribution in a similar role or previous position
·  Demonstrated outstanding technical skills and experience aligned with the team’s scope
·  Demonstrated skills or the ability to document, plan, market, execute, control, close, and manage tasks
·  Excellent presentation skills
·  Ability to adapt plans due to changes in scope and communicate them to multiple stakeholders in a timely manner
·  Ability to influence others beyond Engineering
·  Able to maintain a normal day-to-day fluent conversation in English
