What impact you’ll make
The Lead Demand Scheduler for combustion components of Legacy Thermal Service Gas Portfolio maintains the integrated demand plan by partnering with with the Demand Planner & Business Line teams and in coordination with the Supply Planners in the tactical fulfillment of the demand plan with focus on Current Year and Current Year + 1.
The Demand Scheduler is responsible for aligning the proper demand allocation to best serve the customer and business needs with the available supply.
The Lead Demand scheduler is also responsible for the refurbishment program of combustion capital parts for both Thermal Service & Power Service inventory.
The refurbishment program’s objective is to buy, repair, and sell used power generation assets, providing OEM warranty guaranteed repaired assets to our customer base.
Job Description
What you’ll do
New Parts Demand
· Manage fulfillment of demand signal that satisfies customer needs while aligning to the targets of the business.
· Keep SAP PowerMax system and tools up to date and accurate to the current new demand signal including incorporating the phase-in/phase-out process of change management.
· Manage relationships with supply & Purchasing pillars of the organization to proactively identify and resolve issues relating to the execution of the demand plan.
· Demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals/programs/processes for a demand planning segment.
Refurbishment Parts Demand
· Act as the main point of contact within Services for the refurbishment planning for the combustion xTS & xPGS Components.
· Ensure repaired finished goods inventory levels aligned with KPI segment targets.
· Prioritize consuming existing finished goods inventory, matching remaining life to customer requirements and reduce slow moving inventory (SMI). Reduce existing obsolescence and prevent obsolescence roll-in and increase inventory turns.
· Ensure that Fulfillment and warehouse functions properly keep the ERP systems (SAP PowerMax) and TLB systems with accurate inventory and costing.
· In case of buyback material opportunities, coordinate within combustion demand segment to understand demand forecast, shipment timing to evaluate a proper buy-back price (where applicable.
· Ensure that Fulfillment and warehouse functions properly keep the pedigree and availability of the unrepaired and repaired assets.
· Provides availability summaries and internal costing as needed
· Partner with repair team and new parts demand schedulers to ensure that existing and forecasted demand, including repair shop fallout, are covered with adequate supply and availability is optimized for delivery to customers.
· Partner with repairs optimization team to provide forecast of repair slots needed, provide demand, customer want date and outage dates to fulfilment functions to drive PO creation to repair factory.
What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
· Significant experience in manufacturing / supply chain
· Some experience specifically in material planning / scheduling function
· System tool experience with resource planning (ERP Power Max)
· Fluent English language skills
