Previous experience as a site supervisor in the power transformer installation, service, and maintenance field.
Demonstrable experience working with UK and Europe TSOs and Occupiers .
In-depth knowledge of HV Power Transformer installation, testing, and commissioning processes.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, engineers, and project teams.
Demonstrates expert knowledge and experience in the field of HV Transformer Installation and Test
Capable of working independently in problem solving and decision making.
Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
During ITO
- Attend buildability reviews during ITO stage of the projects to ensure that and ROE / Lessons Learnt are captured.
- Support review of Tender Documentation and ERs to capture requirements.
- Support discussions with AILs
- Where applicable undertake Site Surveys to assess feasibility of installation and capture any restrictions.
During OTR
- Promote safe working practices and continual improvement in site safety culture.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of high-voltage power transformers at project sites, ensuring adherence to SQDC, Safety Quality, Delivery & Cost
- Liaise with Project Teams, installation contractors and PDG (Product Delivery Group) to ensure clarity of scope and delivery.
- Lead discussions with AIL contractor to ensure successful delivery to site.
- Confirm and review all Quality QEHS documentation including RAMS, ITPs, CCTs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily reports, progress logs, and as-built drawings.
- Responsible for the preparation, creation and issue of site test documentation including but not limited to RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statement), NCR’s (Non-conformance Report), TQ’s (Technical Queries) in accordance with approved processes and procedures.
- Provide guidance and training to on-site personnel, ensuring a skilled and knowledgeable workforce for HV Power Transformer projects.
Education / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering / HND in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent.
Business understanding
- Knowledge and experience of Construction and Field Services site work.
