Job Description
We are looking for a talented and conscientious HR professional to join our team within and engineering and manufacturing environment.
This role is a fixed term contract for 12 months to cover maternity leave.
Roles and Responsibilities
Reporting to the HR Director, this role forms a critical part of a busy team operating in a matrix organisation. This role will be partnered to our manufacturing and marine team in a fast paced, customer orientated environment.

Partnering with functions, managers, supervisors, and employees and building successful relationships.
·
Coach and advise managers of a full range of HR matters.
·
Provide effective resourcing and recruitment solutions in partnership with the talent team and hiring managers.
·
Supporting complex employee relations including absence, disciplinary and grievance matters.
·
Assist in the collation of data and metrics to drive key business decisions.
We are looking for an HR professional with:
·
A good knowledge of HR best practices and UK employment law and experience in HR preferably in a Manufacturing/Engineering environment;
·
CIPD certification, Bachelor’s Degree in HR or equivalent qualification is desirable;
·
Experience with HRIS, managing the employee life cycle and excellent analytical and decision-making abilities;
·
Excellent written and verbal skills, to communicate effectively across locations and levels;
·
A passion for elevating the employee experience and business performance;
·
Excellent coaching skills to help support managers and employees;
·
Highly organised to deliver scalable processes;
·
Works with a lean mindset to create a better way of work, challenging the existing processes
·
Works with a focus on SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost)
