Job Description Summary
Help invent the future of flight, lift people up, and bring them home safely as a GE Aerospace intern/co-op! You'll build leadership and technical skills in a supply chain/manufacturing role, working on challenging, real-world problems and solve for what the world needs. You'll build relationships with interns/co-ops and leaders. And you'll prepare for a potential full-time position after graduation in one of our fantastic leadership programs or a direct hire opportunity.You will gain broad exposure to manufacturing with an array of opportunities to apply Lean and Six Sigma principles in a shop operations environment and improve state-of-the-art manufacturing methods. Examples of experiences include conventional & non-conventional machining, welding & joining, CNC programming, repair & overhaul, and lean manufacturing. Essential Responsibilities:

Exposure to state-of-the-art methods of manufacturing,
Supporting manufacturing and repair processes for component hardware and/or overall engine assembly,
Maintaining high-quality standards via risk assessment, root cause analysis, corrective action, and the application of statistical controls
Ensuring safe work conditions via Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives
Applying Lean and Six Sigma principles to drive productivity, on-time delivery, process capability, and stable operations in our increasingly complex and demanding environment
Supporting delivery efforts for sourced components by working with our GE shops and suppliers while building project management skills, negotiation skills, and business acumen
Qualifications/Requirements:
Minimum 3.0 cumulative G.P.A. on a 4.0 scale
Attending a full-time registered and nationally accredited bachelor or graduate program (accepted majors are listed below)
Willingness and ability to work in Auburn, AL, Dayton, OH, Hookset, NH, Madisonville, KY, or Strother, KS
Reliable transportation, as many of our sites do not have public transportation available

Benefits:
Pay rates for this position begin at $20/hour and increase for each undergraduate year completed.
