Role Summary/Purpose
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Lead Analyst is a key finance position reporting to the Nuclear Energy FP&A Manager with significant interface with the Nuclear Energy CFO and CEO. In this role, you will support the income statement and balance sheet analysis for all Nuclear P&L activity, and work with leadership to help prepare business forecasts, analyze business results, and interface with Nuclear’ s JV business partner, Hitachi.
Essential Responsibilities
As the Financial Planning & Analysis Lead Analyst, you will:
· Support operations analysis and reporting efforts for the Nuclear business, working with Profit & Loss (P&L) finance managers and functional leadership teams
· Support the Financial Planning and Analysis processes with analytical insight into both quarterly results and business planning cycles
· Provide analysis of business performance and for all forecasts (i.e., Strategic Roadmap, Blueprint and short-range forecasts)
· Support analysis of Joint Venture financials, and own preparation of support materials for board meetings and other requests from the JV partners
· Coordinate with the rest of the Nuclear Energy Finance Team to develop in depth understanding of business dynamics
· Own reporting of all restructuring activity
· Play a key role in quarterly financial reporting to Minority Shareholder – Hitachi
· Support Quarterly Closing submission and analysis (including simplification efforts)
· Help drive overall FP&A reporting simplification and automation, with essential functions including financial analysis, accounting proficiency, and systems skills
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university or college
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in FP&A Operations
Desired Characteristics
· Experience with financial reporting systems, including Oracle ERP, Tableau, Hyperion tools, HFM and Smartview
· Strong capacity to balance recurring and ad-hoc requests from business and functional GM
· Experience with managing complex projects with various stakeholders
· Detailed understanding of P&L and balance sheet analysis and forecasting
· Experience working with executive level cross-functional employees
· Detailed financial planning, reporting, and analysis experience
· Ability to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
· Proven work ethic: dependable, responsible, adaptable
· Strong self-starter: highly motivated to learn and grow
· Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
· Expert proficiency in Excel, Word, and Power Point
