GE Aviation On Wing Support (London) are offering high quality 3 year Apprenticeships in:

·  Aerospace Mechanical Engineering,

·  Aerospace Electrical Engineering

·  Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (Machining),
Essential Responsibilities

Our apprenticeships are in partnership with Coleg y Cymoedd, commencing September 2018. This is a brilliant opportunity within a well-established, global aviation company. The apprenticeship will be in partnership with GE Aviation On Wing Support, however for the 3 year apprenticeship your base for education and training will be Caerphilly, Nantgarw, situated near South of Cardiff.

The Engineering Apprenticeships are demanding schemes, which require analytical skills, a logical mind, numeracy, communication skills, teamwork, good manual dexterity, problem solving skills and the ability to read and interpret diagrams and instructions.

The apprenticeships will be broken down as follows:

·  Year 1 – Full time at Coleg y Cymoedd, South Wales

·  Year 2 – Four days on site at GE Aviation with day release to college

·  Year 3 – Half year GE Aviation Wales, half year at GE Aviation On Wing Support.

Upon completion, qualifications achieved will be both a BTEC Level 3 and NVQ Level 3 in the relevant fields. You will then be eligible to apply for Aircraft Engineer roles within the On Wing Support GE Facility situated in Feltham Heathrow.

Successful candidates will be considered for the three apprenticeships available and offered the one most suitable to their skill sets.

Salary details: Circa £11k rising to circa £18k

Relocation Allowance: £400 per month
Qualifications/Requirements

Entry requirements:

Applicants must have, or expect to achieve, a minimum of 5 GCSEs, at least Grade C or above, to include Mathematics, English Language and Science. BTEC in Science will also be considered.
Desired Characteristics

B in Mathematics or a recognised engineering/technology qualification such as BTEC Level 2 Engineering or City and Guilds Level 2 Engineering or equivalent experience
