Role Summary/Purpose
A vacancy exists within the Blades & Vanes team within the CRW Organisation. As an Aircraft Engineer within this role you will have the technical responsibility for the engine or its constituent parts and processes maintenance data relating to such parts.
Essential Responsibilities
· The successful candidate will be required to join the established Blades & Vanes Team within the Component Repair Organisation
· You will be required to carry inspection and reassembly work on Engine Hardware
· Restore a component/engine/module to a serviceable condition in conformity with an approved standard and to ensure that cost effective operation is achieved
· Ensure compliance with GE policy, procedure and regulatory requirements and ethical behavior
· Ensure compliance with all Environmental Health and Safety requirements. Everyone at GE Wales is responsible for Quality, ensuring compliance at all times
· All company members are required to actively participate in the various Quality forums which are the conduit towards achieving the company’s aim of sustained Quality Improvement
· Meet high Housekeeping standards and have a desire to implement 5S standards throughout your working area
· This role will require shift working that covers day/ afternoon and weekend working
Qualifications/Requirements
· Completed a formal engineering apprenticeship or equivalent knowledge or experience
· Previous experience of mechanical engineering in the aerospace industry (DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE OF THIS MUST BE SUBMITTED AT THE POINT OF APPLICATION E.G – Log Book/ Certifications)
· Relevant Gas Turbine Engine overhaul experience
· Current A stamp Holder
