Job Description Summary
At Projects level:
• Establish and manage effectively a planning and progress control system in order to support the Project Director decision- making process and allow him to complete the project according to the internal baselines and in compliance with the contractual dates and requirements
• Ensure any deviation from plan is promptly spotted and analyzed, final time impact is estimated and the effect of corrective actions taken is monitored
• Create schedule awareness among all project team
At Regional level:
• Manage the Regional Project Planning team (recruitment, training, workload management, competency assessment, individual follow-up, in line with HR processes)
• Follow-up the Projects portfolio and on-going bids to make sure that processes, guidelines and tools as defined by the Hydro Global Planning function are applied
• Issue the Regional consolidated reports for Planning

As a Project Planner Leader at GE Vernova, you’ll oversee and advance the planning and scheduling of critical projects—across equipment, construction, and integrated delivery pipelines. You will lead scheduling strategy, foster accuracy and mitigation, and elevate planning excellence across global teams.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Ensures project implementation as well as work packages and constraints are accurately integrated into project planning scenario. Responsible for monitoring progress and producing accurate projections. Ensures other functions have access to accurate current reports and projections and relevant reports are available for the customer.
· Developing specialized knowledge in the discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
· Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
· Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development.
· Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
· Major experience years in project planning/control functions, especially within EPC or industrial project environments
· Strong analytical and communication capabilities, with experience handling schedule variance and stakeholder coordination
· Hydro Product knowledge is an asset
· Fluent in English
· Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
· Established project management skills
· Tools:
· Primavera P6 (advanced user)
· Microsoft Project (good knowledge)
· Microsoft Office (good knowledge)
· PLM knowledge is an asset
