Job Description Summary
The Wind Turbine Manufacturing Engineer will establish internal processes that ensure the safe production of high-quality products that meet compliance and customer requirements. Drive continuous improvement across Wind Turbine production lines by owning project timelines, improving cycle & cost, and resolving technical issues. Effectively interface with assembly teams and other support functions to complete critical projects that meet and exceed Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost goals within schedule and budget.

Roles and Responsibilities:
· Act as change agent to bring about significant improvement in areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost
· Lead important projects/initiatives that improve the work environment/ergonomics and align with GE Vernova and site EHS goals
· Provide technical leadership and support production team growth and development goals
· Translate technical processes and methods to train and empower production employees
· Develop and maintain work instructions, implement standard work, and support training initiatives within the area of ownership
· Maintain and improve process documentation to ensure consistent and repeatable quality
· Participate in high-impact process and quality improvement projects that improve First Pass Yield (FPY) and reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)
· Develop new processes/tools and improve workstation design to reduce lead times, eliminate non-value-added work, create pull flow and ensure on-time delivery in support of the factory Value Stream Map
· Work cross-functionally with design engineering and logistics process owners to validate design specifications and shop floor application of new products, tools, and equipment
· Lead New Technology Initiatives (NTI) and share best practices
· Conduct cost/benefit analysis for changes to processes, tooling, and/or equipment - actively drive positive change to assembly and shipping processes
· Drive improvement by partnering with outside vendors to improve equipment/material cost
· Define cell capital expense (CAPEX) and operational expense (OPEX) needs and manage budget
Required Qualifications:
· B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or related technical degree from an accredited university or college
· Minimum of 2 years in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, Logistics/Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, or related field
Desired Characteristics:
· Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and tools
· Experience reading and interpreting engineering specifications and drawings
· Demonstrated leader and respectful team player
· Hands-on experience with implementing projects and sustaining process improvements
· Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities and deliver timely actions
· Demonstrated ability to effectively influence and motivate others
· Willingness and ability to learn from others and listen with intent
