Job Description Summary
We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our team. The TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) Welder will be responsible for welding metal parts together using TIG welding techniques. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of welding processes, high attention to detail, and the ability to work with various types of metals and alloys.
Job Description
· Perform surface prep, TIG welding, surface finishing on various materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals (super alloys).
· To performed Swab Etch and Spot FPI on the repaired area.
· Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to determine the welding process.
· Prepare and set up welding equipment, including selecting the appropriate electrodes, filler metals, and shielding gases.
· Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
· Maintain proper safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) during welding operations.
· Work closely with other team members to complete welding projects on time.
· Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
· Repair damaged parts and components as required.
· Follow industry standards and safety regulations in all tasks.
Requirements:
· Proven experience as a TIG Welder or in a similar welding role.
· Proficiency in TIG welding techniques, including welding thin and thick metals.
· Knowledge of welding procedures, materials, and equipment.
· Basic understanding on FPI methods.
· Ability to read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
· Excellent attention to detail and quality.
· Strong problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS, ASME, or equivalent) preferred.
· Good physical condition and manual dexterity.
· Strong commitment to safety standards and practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in TIG welding in industries such as aerospace, automotive, or construction.
· Familiarity with the use of welding machines, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
· Knowledge of different welding positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead).
