Overview

The Specialist, Compliance and Accounting for the Other Taxes department is a member of the Finance Tax team, accountable for accounting duties, performing ( local ) tax compliance, tax administration and reporting functions, for the legal entities belonging to the Foot Locker Europe Group. He/She is supporting the Tax reporting analyst and the Manager of the department.

Responsibilities

·  Accounting duties: Follow up of the local taxes invoices, connection with the AP finance department for the booking and payment, preparation of the not automatic payments, assist for preparation of monthly accruals and booking GL journals.
·  Reconciliation accounts and reporting duties: Assist the Tax reporting analyst for the reconciliation of assigned accounts and reporting in Blackline.
·  Reporting and administrative duties related to the Packaging and taxes: Assist the Tax reporting analyst for the contracts, collection of data, preparation reporting files, support during the audits.
·  Reporting and administrative duties related to other local taxes: Collect the data, assist reporting the taxes, reporting the contracts in the Shopper system, update the suppliers in the Shopper system, answer questions from other departments. In particular in the French compliance obligations.
·  Assit prepare data for Annual and on-demand Statistics reporting
·  Sarbanes Oxley compliance for areas responsible
Qualifications

·  Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting
·  Minimum of 2-3 year’s experience in an accounting position.
·  Experience with Business operating in multiple countries is a must and key asset for the role
·  Ability to function across all levels of a complex, culturally diverse matrix organization
·  Fluent in English both verbal and written; good level of French.
·  Knowledge of another EU language is always an asset
·  Analytical skills: ability to draw conclusions from numerical data
·  Excel skills and ability to create reports as well as quickly detect report defects if any
·  Computer skills: experience with database management
·  Proactive communication, able to correctly write to official institutions, to discuss with different culture stakeholders
·  Level of autonomy and self-accountability as well as capability to follow the department’s procedures and best practices.
·  Able to work as part of a team and coordinate activities with other departments in an engaging way/ no silo mentality
·  Ability to work under time and results pressure, tight deadlines and changing priorities
·  Strong ability to follow-through, persistence to add value and elevate quality
