Team Support Associate/ Project Co-ordinator

Backgroud:

The Programme Management Office (PMO) is a small but high performing team of experienced Programme and Project Managers from diverse backgrounds.  Taking their brief from the Irish Leadership Team, the PMO provides governance and drives implementation of strategic projects, across the island of Ireland. 

Working within the PMO you will have a unique insight into the inner workings of EY and an opportunity to shape and influence some of our most exciting projects, including external facing Growth Platforms and internally focused functional strategies.  By applying principles of project management to the firms’ revenue growth ambition, the PMO is a key enabler of our Vision 2020 ambition.

Role Responsibilities:

 

Project Co-Ordination under supervision of the PM:  60%

·      Assists and supports Project Managers (PM’s) through the creation of project documents (i.e.: minutes and actions, agendas reports, dashboards etc.)

·      Establishes project deliverables - Records detailed requirements, constraints, and assumptions with stakeholders in order to establish the project deliverables, under supervision of PM.

·      Executes project plan - Executes the tasks as defined in the project plan in order to achieve the project goals, under supervision of the PM.

·       Documents project risks, assumptions, issues and decisions, and as applicable, under the direction of the PM.

 

KPI’s and Reporting: 15%

·      Leverages knowledge of Excel to support monthly financial reporting against plan and KPI’s.

·      Produces customer centric presentations to communicate results.

 

Team Administrator: 10% 

·      Acts as central admin support to Team, co-ordinating our internal management (i.e.: scheduling Team Meetings/ Managing Team files and folders/ Updating Share point and Lessons Learned)

 

Buddy:  5%

·       Acts as key contact for incoming Team Interns, providing induction, training and support. 

Research: 10%

·      Adds value through ad hoc research on e.g. Markets and competitive intelligence data and applies insight to perform analysis and deliver quality information 

Skills Requirements

 

·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.

·      Clearly communicates information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.

·      Possesses good listening skills - Listens intently to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions when appropriate, and allowing others to speak without interrupting them.

·       Basic presentation skills with an appetite to improve.

 

Technical:

Essential:

·      Good MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint.

·      Organisation and initiative:  

·      Approaches tasks in an organised and methodical fashion.

·       Priorities effectively.

·      Arranges shared information and files is a useful manner.

·      Plans own work to ensure timely completion of assignments.

 

Networking:

·      Develop positive relationships with peers, supervisors, and mentors/counselors who can provide advice and support.

·       Develop rapport with other EY teams by demonstrating an understanding of their needs and asking appropriate questions.

·      Diversity: Demonstrate respect for differences in individual style and backgrounds

·      Qualifications & Experience

 

Minimum Required:

·      Leaving Certificate or Equivalent-  Grade A in Lower Level Maths or a Grade C in Higher Level Maths & Grade C in Higher Level English 

·       6 Months Professional Work Experience

 

Desirable:

·      Degree or equivalent experience

·      Customer services experience

·      Experience working in professional services environment with projects.
