The opportunity

 

EY Climate Change & Sustainability Services support our clients in managing, improving and reporting their sustainability performance.  We help our clients accelerate the transformation towards a sustainable economy and assist them in understanding business risks and opportunities, managing regulatory changes, delivering strategic advice and to disclose performance and progress on non-financial aspects.  We are one of the leading providers of sustainability services in the Nordics and as pioneers in the field, we see a clear linkage between financial and non-financial matters. Therefore, we expect candidates to be able to understand key financial concepts and to have a broad understanding of business processes and financial reporting.

 

 

What we look for

 

To succeed in this role, we consider important that you have experience of what sustainability means to business. We are looking for someone who has a deep understanding of how sustainability and business create value when aligned.  We appreciate strong social and facilitation skills and a can-do attitude.  In addition, an understanding of financial reporting, due diligence process and financial markets is seen as an advantage.

In this role, your responsibilities include the following aspects:

 

Sustainability expertise

·   
·  Provide advice to companies around stakeholder engagement, materiality assessments, sustainability goals and strategy development, and sustainability reporting (such as GRI Standards or the TCFD framework)
·  Provide advice to companies on sustainable finance and related EU regulation
·  Conduct projects related to social responsibility. For example, projects related to responsible and sustainable supply chains. This could include of risk assessment models and tools, development of supplier screening models and due diligence programs
·  Any relevant deeper industry knowledge gained from previous work that touch upon the sustainability issues companies face today

Social and facilitation skills

·  Networking and sales activities. You feel comfortable and enjoy meeting clients to discuss EY services
·  Strong social, facilitation and communication skills and experience from presenting for large groups of people
·  You like working in teams and enjoy coaching other team members
·  The ability to create new thinking and develop new and structured approaches and concepts that can be applied to a variety of clients, circumstances and scenarios

 

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

 

·  Higher academic degree in Sustainability, Business, Engineering or similar
·  Proficiency in Finnish and English – both orally and in writing
