JOB SUMMARY:

As part of EWT / Enterprise Service Management team, the ESM Metrics and Reporting team is responsible fordelivering operational and service based reporting to measure and drive process adherence and compliance for EY enterprise technology services.

The vision for ESM Metrics and Reporting team is to provide single version of truth, create data driven culture, automate and modernize the delivery model thorough improved data visualization and storytelling, build advanced analytics capabilities, adopt agile development methodologies with a mission to provide the best reporting experience to users through quick and actionable insights from data for better decision making across the EY Technology.

This position at ESM Metrics and Reporting as Supervisory Associate SQL Azure and PowerBI Developer will have :

·  5 to 8+ years of experience in any reporting and analytics functions/roles with exposure to Enterprise IT, Service Management related metrics and analysis.

·  Experienced as MS SQL Server Database developer - Programming stored procedures, views and functions.- SQL server performance tuning.- Designing & developing database tables.- Creating & tweaking indexes.

·  Responsibilities and Duties: - Programming stored procedures, views and functions- Reviewing query performance and optimizing SQL code- Writing queries used for front-end applications (websites, cloud apps)- Designing and coding database tables to store the application's data- Working with application developers to create optimized queries- Creating and tweaking table indexes to improve database performance

·  Strong proficiency in MS SQL Server and prior experience in MS SQL Server performance tuning- Advanced knowledge of T-SQL, including transactions, error handling, CTEs, Row_Number/Over, hierarchical data sets.- Excellent understanding of indexes, locks, execution plans and file stats- Experience in analyzing and optimizing IO and CPU bottlenecks- Familiar with tools that can aid with profiling server resource usage and optimizing it- Should have a working knowledge about load balancing- Adhere to coding standards and produce high quality code- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.

·  Create data visualizations and implement decision support tools end to end using standard BI reporting tools / advanced analytical tools with ability to automate end to end report creation and delivery.

·  Ensure smooth ETL and data flows execution, data assembly, cleansing, validation, data modelling and documentation.

·  Excellent communication skills (written and oral) including technical aspects of a project, ability to develop usable documentation, results interpretation and business recommendations •

·  Strong analytic mindset and logical thinking capability, strong QC mindset

·  Demonstrates consulting, creativity, critical thinking, project planning, and attention to detail capabilities.

·  ServiceNow Reporting with solid understanding of ServiceNow data model will be plus.

·  Conveys the designs to the software development teams via discussion, documentation and prototype code.

Technical Skills:

Primary (minimum necessary skills and certifications will be a plus)

·  Experience of designing and building production data pipelines from ingestion to consumption within a hybrid big data architecture, using Java, Python etc.

·  Experience of designing and implementing data engineering, ingestion and curation functions on the Azure cloud using Azure native or custom programming-

·  Experience in designing, building and operationalizing large-scale enterprise data solutions and applications using one or more of Azure data and analytics services in combination with custom solutions - Spark, HDInsights, Azure Data Lake, SQL DB/DW etc.

·  Hands-on experience analyzing, re-architecting and re-platforming on-premise data warehouses to data platforms on Azure cloud using Azure/custom services

·  Exposure of architecting and implementing next-generation data and analytics platforms on Azure cloudANSI / SQL Queries & Stored Procedures, Views, Database Tables, Indexes design and SQL Server performance tuning

·  Data Visualization – Power BI, TIBCO Spotfire, Tableau (or hands on with any similar data visualization tools)

·  SQL Agent Jobs + SSIS + SSRS + SSAS (MS BI Tools or similar ETL tools like Informatica) and Data Modelling

·  ANSI SQL Queries & Performance Tuning

Secondary (Optional)

·  Powershell scripting and automation

·  Experience working with Big Data and tools.

·  ServiceNow Performance Analytics reporting module is an added advantage

·  ServiceNow Reporting with solid understanding of ServiceNow data model is plus

·  .NET Development

·  Excel Macro / VBA programming, JavaScript

Other Requirements:

·  At least 3 years of professional experience in quantitative data analysis or at least 2+ years of relevant professional experience with research in machine learning algorithms

·  Track record of customer focus, based on openness, trust, and delivering on promises

·  Excellent Communication skills
