The opportunity

The employment law team is seeking to hire a junior lawyer (1-2 years’ PQE) with a passion for employment and health and safety to join a busy team working on national and international engagements. 

Your key responsibilities

Our work is primarily (but not always) non-contentious in nature. We are looking for a lawyer able to advise across a wide range of people related issues, including:

·  Employment law commentary and advice to a range of blue chip national and international clients
·  Drafting employment documentation, including incentive schemes, employment agreements, and policies and processes
·  Conducting holiday pay reviews and advising clients on holiday pay remediation
·  Employment law due diligence, negotiation and integration advice for national and international corporate transactions
·  Reviewing health and safety frameworks and processes and advising businesses on practical ways in which they can comply with their legal obligations
·  Working with our People Advisory Services and Advisory colleagues to assist our clients with the full range of people issues.

·  Commercially astute and able to talk about the law in a practical way
·  Strong technical skills
·  Natural relationship building and inter-personal skills
·  Excellent communication skills and keen attention to detail
·  A positive approach and a can do attitude
·  An interest in business development and legal technology

To qualify for the role you must have the following

·  Around 1-2 years of high quality employment and health and safety legal experience
·  A good understanding of the fundamentals of employment law
·  Strong commercial acumen
·  Good drafting and computer literacy skills
·  Experience in working as part of a team, with the ability to build effective internal and external relationships.
