Job description
Job Summary:
A desktop configuration specialist who engineers, processes, and maintains the services required to build, maintain, and support Windows and MacOS devices, through both legacy and cloud based methods.
Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:
· Ability to identify potential points of failure, pain points, bottle necks, and design and implement solutions to alleviate/automate them.

Assists team lead in classifying and prioritizing issues related to products they manage.
·
Provides recommendations and analytical expertise on requests raised by projects, and challenges these requests if necessary.
·
Proven ability to identify and coordinate resolutions of issues affecting a sub-area/area/global regions
Knowledge and Skills required:
· Extensive knowledge of IT Operations
·
Familiarity with ServiceNow or generalized ticking of incident, problem, and change management processes and procedures
·
A high degree of knowledge and experience with Windows Desktop OS's and corresponding management tools (GPMC, SCCM, and Intune)
·
A high degree of knowledge and experience with MacOS and corresponding management tools (Jamf / Intune)
·
Extensive Knowledge of modern OS light touch deployment methodologies (Autopilot & DEP)
·
Advanced Troubleshooting skills of OPP, IE/Edge, Chrome, Windows, MacOS, Skype, and OneDrive
·
Fundamental understanding of network concepts (PAC Files, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, and Proxies)
·
Advanced programing/scripting skills in PowerShell, bash, python, and VB
·
Fundamental understanding of both application and machine virtualization products
·
Strong interpersonal, client service, communications, and project management skills
·
Ability to work under pressure and independently in a crisis situation
·
The ability to work effectively work and team with clients, management, and staff members who are geographically dispersed.
·
Generalized understanding of Azure AD, and MS cloud offerings
·
The ability to document processes and fixes.
·
The ability to read, write, and understand the English language
Experience:
· Approximately 10 years of Windows desktop management/engineering experience
·
5 years of experience in MacOS management/experience
Education:
·
Ideally a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline
·
A certification, trade school degrees, or a solid work history will be considered if such a degree has not been obtained
