Job Summary:

This role is for an experienced Sharepoint engineer/Development, with good knowledge around the SharePoint(Cloud and On-Prem) and the associated services. The individual will be providing Engineering/Developmental support for areas involving SharePoint, with a good understanding of Sharepoint Development and Engineering and surrounding technologies (Cloud and On-Prem).  The role is part of a global Sharepoint team in a large, complex and multinational environment.

Essential Functions of the Job:

·  Should have in-depth knowledge about SharePoint and its functionalities
·  Should be able to create custom webparts in SharePoint
·  Should have SharePoint designer knowledge and html designs
·  Good to have knowledge on Multi-Geo and practical concepts on migration activities from legacy apps to SharePoint
·  Experience developing custom solutions for SharePoint using SharePoint API, Object Model, web parts web services, workflows, site collections/structure
·  Demonstrated hands on experience in SharePoint CSOM, Rest API and Graph (desirable) and integrating enterprise content with SharePoint with access management knowledge
·  Solid understanding of M365 services including supporting technologies such as SharePoint Technologies, Office System, InfoPath, Forms Services, Excel Services and Web services
·  Strong architectural and design skills and the ability to formulate a solution from client requirements
·  Good understanding and development skills using the following: JavaScript, ES6, JQuery, TypeScript, Frameworks like Knockout and React, .NET C#, PnP, HTML5, CSS3, SharePoint Framework (SPFX)
·  MS PowerApps and Flow
·  Diagnosing end user’s problems, the ability to prescribe the right solution and then ultimately determine the right combination of methods using the skills mentioned above to deliver the right features
·  Comprehensive understanding of SharePoint object-model and service-oriented application development.
·  Ability to understand and analyze business requirements by working with various stakeholders and create the appropriate information architecture, taxonomy and solution approach
·  Design and deliver technical solutions and documentation in SharePoint using out of the box capabilities and using different SharePoint app models for complex business scenarios in areas such as BCS, Search, Workflows, Content Types, and Managed Metadata
·  Diagnose, troubleshoot, and configure SharePoint implementations
·  Responsibly own project tasks and take it through completion
·  Ability to map client requirements to SharePoint application functionality identifying creative work-arounds when necessary or customizations/custom development

  

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

·  Proactively anticipates service issues before they occur and able to make recommendations around resolution.
·  Proactively monitor and manage Sharepoint related components.
·  Taking part in projects as a subject matter expert or as a representative of the service owner.
·  Sound analytical and problem-solving skills are required to manage multiple technical challenges from multiple services and projects simultaneously
·  Evaluate recommendations provided for service improvements, with the ability to identify any gaps or alternate solutions.
·  Proactively anticipate service issues before they occur and drive suggested changes to execution.

Supervision Responsibilities:

Direct supervision responsibilities for this role, also needs to have the ability to set up a network of technical and non technical contacts across various teams to help provide appropriate support for existing services, as well as helping to drive delivery of solutions and/or resolution of various problems.

Other Requirements:

·  Candidate must be flexible to the demands of the services we provide and any project to which they are assigned.
·  The role may require out of office hours work.
·  Intercontinental travel may be required

Job Requirements:

Education:

·  A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience required

Experience:

·  9-years or more working in an Sharepoint or appropriate function
