Job Summary:




A Release Train Engineer in EWT leads and coaches all the Agile Train teams which are part of the Agile Train and supervises the Scrum Masters for each team. The RTE major responsibilities are to facilitate the Agile Train events and processes (such as Program Increment Planning) and assist the teams in delivering value. RTE communicates with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk, and drive relentless improvement. RTE also manages budget for the Agile Train. He/She also interfaces with the vendors for sourcing as well as managing the relationships

Essential Functions of the Job:

· 
Manage and optimize the flow of value through the Agile Release Train.

· 
Establish and communicate the annual calendars for Iterations and Program Increments (PIs).

· 
Facilitate PI Planning readiness by fostering a Continuous Exploration process which drives the synthesis of a Vision, a Roadmap, and Backlogs, and through Pre- and Post-PI Planning meetings.

· 
Facilitate the PI planning event.

· 
Summarize Team PI Objectives into Program PI Objectives and publish them for visibility and transparency.

· 
Assist tracking the execution of features and capabilities.

· 
Facilitate periodic synchronization meetings and demos

· 
Manage the Program budget.

· 
Provide view to the management on the progress and schedule

· 
Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Agile practices and mindsets.

· 
Help manage risks and dependencies. Escalate and track impediments. Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks.

· 
Encourage collaboration between teams.

· 
Work with Product Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment Improve the flow of value through value streams.

· 
Facilitate Program level System Demos.

· 
Drive relentless improvement; assess the agility level of the ART and help them improve.

· 
Maintain vendor relationship and drive productivity improvements

· 
Create a collaborative atmosphere for idea generation and socialize them for good

· 
Point of Contact for Business for updates / reports

· 
Generates reports on the PIs, Sprints for Senior Management         

Experience Required:

· 
18 years of IT industry experience

· 
Atleast 5 years of working experience in SAFe Agile framework

· 
Should have RTE experience for at least 3 years

· 
Experience in ServiceNow is preferred
