Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, Assistant Director (Multiple Positions), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, San Jose, CA.

Enable businesses with technology by testing a large number of data pipelines and processes. Perform testing and support for web and mobile applications including load testing, usability testing, continuous integration and code reviews. Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. Participate in internal/cross team meetings, scoping, decision making and technical documentation reviews. Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases. Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities. Work closely with product management, engineering and domain experts to validate the data processing rules, calculations and transformations. Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts, including test data, data validation, harness scripts and automated scripts. Define test process, guidelines and automation framework from scratch. Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results. Perform risk assessments and business requirements validation. Identify, analyze and interpret complex data sets. Architect and develop re-usable, extensible and portable test frameworks for new areas. Lead and mentor QA engineers on the team in product use-cases, automation frameworks and QA processes as well as best practices.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.

 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field and 4 years of related work experience.

Must have 4 years of relevant Quality Assurance technical experience.

Must have 4 years of experience in at least one of the following general purpose programming languages:
- Java
- Python

Must have 4 years of experience in 2 of the following databases:
- MySQL
- Postgres
- Mongo

Must have 4 years of experience in each of the following build and test tools:
- Maven
- Selenium
- TestNG

Must have 4 years of experience in at least one of following pipeline technologies:
- Jenkins
- Concourse

Must have 4 years of experience working on automating desktop apps using HP UFT/QTP.

Must have 4 years of experience testing REST webservice technologies using each of the following tools:
- POSTMan
- SOAP UI

Must have at least 1 year of experience in manual & automation testing of mobile responsive and mobile apps using Appium and XCode.

Must have 2 years of experience in analytical tools and reporting tools.

Must have 2 years of experience cleaning and validating data.
