Senior GL Accountant (Polish accountancy rules)

The opportunity:


We are currently looking for Finance Senior Accountant who will join our local finance team based in Wrocław. You will have a great opportunity to cooperate with group finance and local management team.


Your key responsibilities:

·  Balance sheet account reconciliations preparation and review
· 
Closing monthly accounting periods to ensure that all information is entered into the company’s accounting ledger accurately and make corrections as needed

· 
Perform all month-end intercompany closing activities in a timely manner

· 
Fixed Assets Register – recording and resolving issues with additions, retirements, disposals; posting depreciation charges

· 
Posting, reconciling, describing bank statements, including descriptions and deposits after payment

·  Providing support for internal and external audits
· 
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements through the maintenance of organized accounts and records in accordance with EY procedures

·  Responding to customer enquiries in a timely and professional manner
·  Improving existing processes
·  Proceed with ad hoc analysis and reporting requests


Skills and attributes for success:

·  Bachelor degree in finance
·  3+ years of experience in a similar role
·  Knowledge of Polish Accountancy regulations
· 
Good command of CIT and VAT regulations necessary to perform daily duties enumerated in job description

·  proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications
· 
Strong organization and time-management  skills, deadline orientation

·  Good English (written and spoken)
·  Positive, can-do attitude, with agile approach to work
· 
Culturally sensitive, capable of handling interactions with a “global mindset”
