As part of our Real Estate Hospitality practice, you’ll be part of the leading provider of professional services to owners, developers, builders, operators, capital providers and users of real estate.Having the largest hospitality practice among the Big Four firms, we provide a full scope of real estate advisory services to every major segment of the hospitality industry.You’ll join some of the best people in the industry and work with our clients to do all it takes, from concept to completion, inspiring confidence today to build a better tomorrow. You will have the opportunity to be part of a larger Valuation Solutions team that creates and delivers broad, analytics-enabled solutions that align to our client’s focus on corporate finance, strategy, buy and integrate or sell and separate decisions, and reshaping of results.

 

What to expect

You’ll need to stay on top of industry trends through online sources and publications, and provide knowledge sharing as appropriate to senior leaders. It’s all about being part of a number of projects including due diligence, valuation, strategy, market analysis, and financial analytics. You’ll also need to tackle a significant amount of data, manipulate this data, and draw conclusions and findings of data based on financial performance of property. As part of that, you’ll need to be able to deal with ambiguity, as well as being a self-starter, entrepreneurial, and motivated to understand what is happening in the industry.

 

Your key responsibilities

·  Work with a wide variety of real estate and hospitality-specific clients, including owners, developers, builders, financial institutions, lenders and pension funds, as well as numerous Fortune 500 companies
·  Assist with typical engagements such as market studies, financial analysis, development advisory, return on investment calculations, transaction due diligence, appraisal reviews and valuations, strategic planning, property performance enhancement, portfolio analysis and cash flow modeling
·  Other responsibilities may include collection of market information; analysis of real estate documents, including appraisals and lending documents; performing market research; cash flow modeling; documentation preparation and report writing

 

To qualify for the role you must have

·  Progress towards an undergraduate or graduate degree in Hotel Management (coursework in finance or real estate preferred)
·  A strong academic record, including, without limitation, course work that EY deems relevant to this position
·  Understanding of lodging industry metrics; familiarity with hotel operations and processes
·  Advanced financial modeling skills with proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
·  A driver’s license valid in the U.S.
·  The willingness and ability to learn and work independently with minimal supervision
·  Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
·  Effective organization and time management skills with ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
·  Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
·  A strong work initiative, high energy level and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas
·  Integrity within a professional environment
·  The flexibility and willingness to travel as well as work in excess of standard hours when necessary
