Position: Staff Warehouse and Transportation consultant, Dynamics AX

Job Description:

As a Dynamics AX Functional Consultant in the EY Microsoft Practice, you will use your Supply chain knowledge in addition to Warehouse and Transportation Management skillset to devise strategy to transform our client's Supply chain business. Your consulting skills, business process knowledge, and other methodologies and tools will be harnessed in delivering resolutions to real world Supply chain problems.

You will also drive highly capable and scalable solutions on Dynamics AX/D365 Platform.

 

Responsibilities include:

·  Functional Implementation of Dynamics AX modules which include but not restricted to, Advanced Warehouse Management, Mobile Devices and Scanners, Transportation Management, Inventory Management and Product Management
·  Participating in Functional design and translating Business requirement to functional flows within Dynamics AX for Trade and logistics /supply chain modules
·  Participate in the management of the ERP system life-cycle, including performing analysis (where applicable), driving software architecture and design, development, integration and unit testing for major, minor and maintenance releases
·  Ability to analyse and determine how Dynamics AX can best meet client’s requirements and objectives
·  Create, refine, and implement Functional design and industry best practices
·  Maintain / Develop functional flows for various application integration with third party and legacy/back-end systems
·  Excellent functional documentation skills, may assist in providing client support and consultation and implementing Microsoft Dynamics solutions at client sites
·  Grow and maintain the basic structure and core design features
·  Provide functional direction regarding solution design and development
·  Collaborate with other architects and functional consultants/Technical consultants to form best practices
·  Introduce standards, procedures, and best practice guidelines for Supply chain implementation
·  Take functional (where applicable) & technical lead of enterprise level IT Infrastructure projects
·  Ensure effective development of required security control framework, adhering to required audit and compliance requirements
·  Develop and maintain effective relationships with business & technical teams internally along with partners and suppliers/vendors externally
·  Develop and implement a functional training roadmap for technical and functional staff
·  Provide status reports showing progress in clear and concise manner.

 

 

Qualifications:

·  Good English skills (written and verbal), other languages welcome depending on location
·  Very communicative to work with internal and external resources
·  Hands-on, committed, team player with a clear emphasis being able to work independently, driven and enthusiastic.
·  Self-motivated to continuously expand personal, professional knowledge. Professional with good organisational skills.

Experience

·  Minimum 4 years of experience in AX 2009/2012/D365 Warehouse Management, Transportation Management and Trade and logistics/Supply chain
·  Experience with successful implementations (at least 2 years of experience on large projects)
·  Minimum 4 end to end implementations with Microsoft Dynamics AX.
·  Thorough knowledge of out of the box Supply chain concepts like Advanced Warehouse Management, Mobile Devices and Scanners, Transportation Management, Inventory Management and Product Management
·  Managing, resolving, monitoring performance issues within Dynamics AX 2012 environment.
·  Building / Managing a team of developers, critically reviewing work in order to both ensure code quality and provide ongoing training / mentoring to developers.
·  Ability to work in both team environment and as an individual contributor
·  Hands on experience in key Dynamics D365/ AX 2012 and/or Dynamics AX2009 modules including (Warehouse Management/Transportation Management/Inventory Management / Trade and Logistics / Purchasing / Sales)
·  Proven understanding of security, efficient code reuse, and software design
·  Knowledge of Azure development, Native Azure services and structure, Azure SQL
·  Experience supporting Microsoft AX 7 Dynamics 365 would be well regarded
·  Valid Microsoft certifications (MS SQL Database, Dynamics AX 2012) would be an added advantage.
