Client Technology (CT) - focuses on developing new technology services for our clients. It enables EY to identify new technology-based opportunities faster, and pursue those opportunities more rapidly.

Enterprise Technology (ET) – ET supports our Core Business Services functions and will deliver fit-for-purpose technology infrastructure at the cheapest possible cost for quality services. ET will also support our internal technology needs by focusing on a better user experience.

Information Security (Info Sec) - Info Sec prevents, detects, responds and mitigates cyber-risk, protecting EY and client data, and our information management systems.  

The opportunity


We are currently in a process of enabling two Cloud Providers in China Blue Cloud (Azure) and Alibaba Cloud Services. Therefore, we need local people to support these cloud environments, who can interact with our customers in China. You will be able to work with our internal teams globally and gain knowledge on the global process and procedures. The Cloud Network Engineer is responsible for individual contribution to activities assigned in Cloud Operations team. This will include, but not limited to designing and building infrastructure, deploying connectivity to Cloud, providing solutions to business related to cloud connectivity, technology enhancements and configuration changes to the environment.

 

Your key responsibilities

As a Network Engineer in the Cloud Operations group, you will be responsible for operate, research, design, engineering, implementation and identifying continuous enhancement opportunities of various network services across the global Ernst & Young environment. These services and related offerings are based on solutions supported by various networking products, technologies from industry leading and innovative vendors across Cloud, SDN, SD-WAN, Data Center, Campus and Branch Office environments.  Additionally, you will also provide the below services

· 
Consulting services to other internal IT teams, and act as a level four escalation point for operational issues.

· 
Handling tickets (Incident, Change, Service Request, etc.) through Ticketing tool

· 
Communicating with customers and providing guidance when needed

· 
Triaging cases and determining best approach or teams to get involved

Skills and attributes for success

Significant working experience and knowledge in the following areas:

· 
Advanced skills in planning, designing and troubleshooting complex network environments.

· 
First-hand knowledge and experience in designing network related aspects of Public Cloud environments like Alibaba, Azure, AWS and GCP for large scale enterprise environments, Cloud Exchanges and future proof Private Cloud solutions.

· 
Knowledge and operational understanding of technologies used for building cloud services, Linux, OpenStack, REST API, JSON-RPC, Virtualization, and Databases especially as it relates to Cloud Service Providers, Private Clouds and Datacentre infrastructure

· 
Proficiency with Linux and one or more scripting languages (Python, Perl, TCL, PowerShell). Knowledge of Python is a plus

· 
Proficiency with Automation and DevOps orchestration tools (like Ansible and Puppet) is paramount

Ideally, you’ll also have

· 
Experience in designing and implementing enterprise network solutions in data centre and branch office environments including routing, switching and wireless LAN technologies; application networking and delivery technologies (data centre server  and global load balancing solutions); WAN, Internet connectivity & related technologies (SD-WAN, MPLS, IPSEC VPN, WAN Optimizers, Rate Limiters, QoS, etc.); Infrastructure Services (DNS, DHCP and Active Directory); Network Monitoring & Management Platforms (Monitoring – Operations, Management – Data Network Domain).

· 
Exposure to various facets of converged data center and branch office build-out including planning, designing and implementation of facilities and structured cabling solutions.

· 
First-hand knowledge in designing network solutions to enable integration of Azure Stack, HCI, VMWare, blade, cloud and converged network environments.

· 
Provide guidance on the relevant Subscription/Access/deployment model for the project team.

· 
End to End support to the project team from onboarding till go live on Cloud related topics.

· 
Ensure best cost-effective solutions for the proposed infrastructure.

· 
Ensure high level security controls and assist then to get through the InfoSec guidelines.

· 
Good understanding of how to implement, leverage and maintain public cloud services on the Ali Cloud (required) and Azure (preferred) platforms.

· 
Solid understanding of cloud platform networking capabilities, including load balancers, web application firewalls, network access control lists (NACLs), security groups, routing, tracing and DNS resolution

To qualify for the role you must have

· 
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; or equivalent work experience. Certifications in Cloud or Network domain is an added advantage

· 
Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and collaboration skills, interface with personnel at all levels directly or in virtual setting.

· 
Proficiency in English language both verbal and written to communicate effectively within and across the team in addition to Mandarin.

· 
Highly skilled attention to detail and self-assurance of quality of work performed or reviewed

·  Work independently with minimal supervision.
· 
Knowledge and experience of using ServiceNow ticketing tool and incident management process.

· 
Good experience in coordinating with Internal IT Teams and external Cloud Vendors (Alibaba and Blue Cloud
