About Mercury Support Team (MST):
Finance Infrastructure is an internal EY Finance organization that is part of EY’s Global Controllership. Finance Infrastructure helps support several key Finance Products including Mercury (which is EY’s SAP centric platform supporting Customer to Cash processes).
Finance Infrastructure is part of the Mercury Support Team (MST) which is an organization jointly owned by the business and IT. The MST is a centralized and global organization that provides operational support for an integrated, SAP-centric platform (Mercury) and manages and supports the Mercury user community. The MST plays an integral governance role in the global Mercury solution and will evolve to work closely with the business to enable the benefit and value to be realized from the investment in Mercury and to set the future direction and technology road map.
About this Role:
· The Product Analysts support and assist the Assistant Product Managers and Product Managers by helping with the resolution of key product issues, fulfillment of business operational requests, providing requirements and validation support with new enhancements to the Mercury system.
· They will be responsible for researching SAP, Mercury, and a designated area of responsibility and then utilizing their findings to provide expertise and guidance throughout Mercury teams. The Product Analyst will assist in completing initiatives, projects, and overseeing third party consultants within their functional area.
· The Product Analyst scope of responsibility includes supporting their functional area, Assistant Product Managers, and Product Managers to ensure the success of the SAP solution across a large global client base. In this capacity, they will collaborate with and assist other team members to find a common solution, support the triage of executive issues, and develop in-depth knowledge of their functional area or product. The Product Analyst will also further the team’s work with global clients in order to understand the necessary requirements for product and service improvement.
· In this role, the Product Analyst will provide support for the tax functions of the Mercury Solution. From a technology perspective, this role covers SAP integration with Thomson Reuters’ Onesource (formerly Sabrix) for indirect tax determination, SAP ECC for withholding tax determination, and Onesource, SAP ECC, and SAP BW for tax reporting. From an industry perspective, this role covers global tax policies and procedures in a professional services environment.
Essential Functions of the Job:
· Supports the resolution of L3 tickets alongside Assistant Product Managers
· Supports enhancement request, business operational request, and service request fulfillment
· Supports triage of issues
· Supports development of requirements and validation of designated enhancements
· Designs and implements technical solutions for tax changes in SAP/Onesource
· Works with ECC SD, MM, FI, and ABAP teams on functional design changes
· Interacts with Environments team to resolve system health issues and manage product upgrades
· Manages change control for configurations and system upgrades, including regression testing and coordination of user acceptance testing
· Maintains tax-related functional and technical documentation
Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:
· Analyzes and deciphers diverse requirements from multiple countries
· Collaborates with the team to classify and prioritize defects related to the process/product and makes decisions based on assessments
· Coordinates work effort between products and modules
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
Experience:
· 3-4 years’ experience in a large business system environment, performing business analysis, business development, and/or project systems management with a preferred focus on SAP integration with Onesource, SAP functional configuration, and/or previous Onesource production support.
· 2-3 years’ hands-on experience in Sabrix/Onesource configuration
· 1-2 years’ hands-on experience in production support (SAP and/or Onesource)
· 2-3 years’ experience in SAP SD, MM, FI-AP/AR configuration and master data integration
· 2+ end-to-end SAP full lifecycle implementations (Blueprint/Design through Deployment/Support)
· Must be proficient in speaking and writing in English
Certification Requirements:
· SAP certification preferred
· Thomson Reuters Onesource Determination certification preferred
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
· Functional and/or technical experience in supporting global systems (i.e. SAP, Onesource) including knowledge of data flows, processes and best practices
· Proven knowledge of software development lifecycle methods, processes, tools and best practices
· Documentation, communication and presentation skills that support accurate and concise messaging
· Experienced and comfortable working with culturally diverse outsourced on/offshore staff for Project work and Production Support (Run) service delivery
· Excellent interpersonal, client service, communication, organizational, and project management skills
· Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
· Ability to react appropriately during crisis situations
· Operate in a dynamic, fast moving and changing environment
· Operate in a global matrix environment
