The opportunity

Within FSO, our Digital Operate and Industrialize (DOI) competency works collaboratively with our clients to conduct complex, strategic analyses of clients' IT organizations, operating models, processes, applications and infrastructure. Through our unique combination of competencies and solutions, EY’s FSO DOI team helps our clients sustain competitive advantage and profitability by developing strategies to stay ahead of the rapid pace of change and disruption and supporting the execution of complex transformations. 

Your Key Responsibilities

The Application Modernization Manager will help our clients assess, design and implement highly effective Application Modernization solutions that achieve their specific digital transformation objectives.  Core services range from readiness assessments and technology transformations to the execution of robust digital initiatives.  We leverage industry leading Agile processes, DevOps tools and practices, software architectures, cloud services, and container platforms to help clients create highly scalable, agile and resilient digital capabilities.

Skills and attributes for success
·  Experience successfully managing projects with defined deliverables and budgets, including budgeting and managing the schedule, client relationship management, communicating strategically around key issues conflict resolution and consensus building
·  A thorough understanding of complex information systems and technology organizations
·  Experience communicating technical study conclusions through written reports and presentations using tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Visio
·  Experience in professional software engineering and working experience as a consultant across several domains and firms and exposure to different technology platforms and architecture models is a huge plus
To qualify for the role you must have
·  A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, Accounting, Finance or a related field
·  A minimum of 5 years of post-bachelor's work experience (or 4 years for Master’s degree); 3 years must be relevant work experience at a financial services company or comparable experience working as a consultant in a professional services firm delivering advisory services on SDM
The candidate must have experience in the following competencies:
·  DevOps tools, methodologies and best practices
·  Agile software development methodology
·  Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD)
·  Automated builds, tests and deployments
·  Release planning and scheduling
Ideally, you’ll also have
·  Knowledge of key IT management processes and industry frameworks (e.g., CMMI, COBIT, ITIL, Six Sigma, ISO 2700x, TOGAF, project management life cycles, systems development life cycles, PMBOK, Prince2, data center operations, etc.)
