Job description
Transaction Advisory Services is one of the leading and fastest growing financial service providers in the Nordics as well as on the global financial transactions market. You will be part of the strong and sector focused Swedish Corporate Finance team consisting of ~20 transaction specialists with corporates, private equity funds and financial institutions as clients.
The M&A team will offer you a role with significant responsibility, where you work on exciting projects related to corporate transactions in a successful team. You will be based in our Stockholm office, and there will be occasional national and international traveling required.
The opportunity
We are currently seeking 1-2 ambitious students join our expanding Stockholm Corporate Finance/Mergers & Acquisitions team as Interns. The M&A team is part of EY’s Transaction Advisory Services practice, working alongside other sub-service lines of transaction specialists. The successful candidate, will work together with experienced M&A specialist advisors on transactions such as corporate divestments, company sales, acquisitions and fund raisings. We have a truly global presence and work in sector focused, multi-disciplinary and international teams.
You will have a great opportunity to earn valuable experience and gain insight within corporate finance. As a starting point, we see that you are willing and able to work for two business days/week.
Your key responsibilities
The successful candidate, will work together with experienced M&A specialist advisors on transactions such as corporate divestments, company sales, acquisitions and fund raisings. We have a truly global presence and work in sector focused, multi-disciplinary and international teams. You will, at an early stage, have the opportunity to interact with international as well as local clients, which requires that you are comfortable taking responsibility and initiative.
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role you must have:
· Current studies within relevant fields such as Economics, Finance, Accounting or similar
· Strong academic results
· High personal integrity aswell as being team oriented
· Analytical mindset and social intelligence, capable of working effectively in a multicultural environment
· Interest in the financial services industry and have a business mindset
· Excellent command of Microsoft Office suite
· Fluency in English and Swedish
· Ability to prioritize well and work under tight deadlines
Ideally, you will also have:
· Experience from the financial services industry, strategy consultancy or similar
