Job description

Project Engineersareresponsible for application environment build-outs both on premises and on MS Azure, code install, maintain continuity, upgrade, reliability, performance and continuously improving the many different operating environments.WellversedinIaaS, PaaS and SaaS cloud  flavors.  Project Engineers are capable of deployments, migrations, setups, able to take advantage of each mode benefits and  are knowledge on its limitations.   They are responsible for deploying the vendor tools as well as install, configure, maintain and perform testing of server’s operating systems, networks, and related utilities and hardware. The Project Engineers also provide infrastructure solutions based on application needs and anticipated growth, install new servers and maintain the infrastructure. Project Engineers need to poses good communication skills and must be able to work collaboratively with the business team and other technical colleagues. The candidate should have IT Infrastructure Engineering and Operations background.

 

Additionally, He/she demonstrates in-depth knowledge of key business processes, products and services, within agreed areas of expertise and is able to provide input and advice to key stakeholders, such as Product Owners, business sponsors and Service Delivery Managers

What are you going to do?

Collaboration with the Azure engineering team to design, create, configure and maintain Cloud infrastructures
Smoothly integration between Public/Private Cloud and on-premise infrastructure
Partners with Dev, QA and other IT teams to implement improved deployment process, secure practices and scalable infrastructure
Troubleshooting application, network, and server level problems for internal systems
Assistswithloadandstresstestingofinfrastructure,collectingmetricsandanalysisofsystems behaviors
Setup and maintains monitoring systems with on-premise products as well as SaaS solutions
Maintains documentation of systems configurations and procedures, including runbooks for live support
Mentors other operations team members and provide training/leadership when appropriate
Reviews log files and other server monitoring data for problems and perform proactive maintenance
Identify, manage and resolve complex application issues, preventing escalations, where possible
Responsible for application and infrastructure support during project development cycle
Install and configure third party tools in collaboration with vendor
Coordinate security scans with Information Security consultants
Assist in security reviews with InfoSec
SSL owner and creator in all but Production and Production -1 environments
AD owner and creator in all but Production and Production -1 environments
Serve as a consultant during PRB investigations
Install monitors and alerts on all production servers prior to handoverto various support levels 

What do we need from you?

Experience with Cloud based environment deployments (Azure preferred) 
Experienceinselectingandapplyingservicemanagementprinciples,policiesandtechniquesinclient operational environments
Excellent written, verbal, listening, analytical, and communication skills 
Windows Server administration experience
Demonstrated experience of common scripting languages (PowerShell, preferred)
Strong Communication Skills, to partner with people and problem solving to reach common goals
Hands-onexperienceworkingwithvariousnetworktechnologies(VPN,Firewall,EthernetSwitches & Routers, Sniffers, Tcp/IP, Network Subnetting, VLANs)
Understandingofhighavailabilitysystemsdesignand implementation including load balancing, session management, cluster management, redundancy and failover testing
Participate in the design, lifecycle management, and total cost of ownership of platforms, applications and infrastructure services
Experience in Agile/scrum Methodology is desirable
Basic Knowledge of Active Directory , SSO and AD Federation
Experience with performance monitoring tools and analysis
Understanding of Cloud, Azure and Containerization 
Read and Modify XML based config files
Read and Modify JavaScript based custom components
Read, Modify and Execute SQL scripts

Shift: 9 to 6pm or 10 to 7pm
