The Opportunity:
Part of a small HR Advisory team who provide support to the UKI HR Business Consultants (“HRBCs”). The Advisor provides a commercial and professional HR service to the UK&I business with particular emphasis on employee relations case management, HR projects and HR reporting and policy advice. The HR Advisory Team is part of the wider HRBC team.
Your Key Responsibilities:
· On behalf of the HRBC team - provide advice to line managers and senior stakeholders on employee relations issues (e.g. performance management and the capability process, absence management, disciplinaries and grievances, occupational health referral and pyschological care pathways etc), referring to EY Help and ER Subject Matter Experts as appropriate and in line with the EY talent operating model.
· Working with line managers up to Partner level, to resolve capability issues and the end to end management of complex ER cases. This includes, but not limited to, attendance and participation at formal meetings, drafting all correspondence and providing solutions based on best practice and in line with business needs
· Maintain accurate MI and deliver regular reporting to the HRBCs and HR Leadership in line with reporting requirements.
· Provide advice and support on occupational and pyshological health issues and other related topics as required by the team or individuals within the business.
· Collaborate and work closely with EY Help HR team in the Talent Shared Services Centre based in Birmingham particularly the EY Help HR Manager, including participating in monthly EY Help ER case review calls
· Support the HRBC team to deliver projects on employee engagement, D&I, Talent Management, and other key strategic programmes
· Supporting the HRBC Team to deliver key HR milestone operational activities such as pay review, Global People Survey reporting, Talent programme nominations and the Firm’s performance and development process
· Other HR tasks/activities as required by the HRBCs/Head of UK HRBCs such as producing and analysing reports using multiple sources of data and reviewing changes to terms and condition requests
· As part of the HR Advisory Team drive opportunities for automation and innovation of the Advisor activities
Skills and Attributes for Success:
· Excellent knowledge of UK Employment Law and employee relations. Hands on experience of dealing with capability management, disciplinaries, grievance procedures, redundancies etc.
· Evidence of having dealt with busy work load in an organised manner, juggling multiple priorities and with attention to detail where there are competing demands on workload and deliverables
· Strong written English, well structured and precise. Strong verbal influencing skills. Ability to facilitate focus groups and deliver briefings to employee’s. Confident to present information to the team or senior business stakeholders.
· Intermediate Excel skills essential (incuding the use of core mathematical and analytical functions). Comfortable with manipulating large sets of confidential data with the ability to be able to provide insights into key trends and observations
To Qualify for the Role You must Have:
· HR qualification, ideally CIPD qualified.
· Previous experience of working in an HR environment at HR Advisor level, with a substantial ER case load
· Excellent knowledge of UK Employment Law and employee relations. Hands on experience of dealing with capability management, disciplinaries, grievance procedures, redundancies etc.

· Ability to maintain confidential information in a professional manner
· Confidence to provide advice professionally and assertively to senior business leaders, both verbally and in writing,
