Job description

We're currently looking for graduates to join us for January / February 2017 start.

What we do & who we are:
EYC3 is the data focussed team within EY and we work on all things data and we like it.

At EYC3 we take mathematically or technically minded people and expose them to real life business problems allowing them to apply analytical solutions to areas that previously were left to gut feel, assumption or spreadsheets. We problem solve, analyse, visualise, automate and crunch data for people that don't understand it the same way that we do.

We're a collaborative team that loves sharing knowledge and learning from each other every day. We have a strong focus on training including technical workshops, off site vendor training, lunch time knowledge sharing sessions and mentoring opportunities.

As a graduate you'll get the opportunity to:
· Be hands on with data science, big data, business intelligence or data warehousing projects
· Work on real projects and challenges within our clients
· Train in the latest technologies
· Build cutting edge prototypes
· Work along-side some of the best and brightest people in the industry
· Work on projects across Australia, Asia and beyond (travel opportunities)
· Participate in the EYC3 summit – 3 days of training and networking with over 250 data experts from across all our regions. (this year in Melbourne)

You won't find yourself sitting in a corner coding all day long in this role.

Desired profile

Who should apply:
We're looking for people with Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) skills OR someone that might have studied software development, information systems, computer science, artificial intelligence or something similar.

From your studies you may have touched on some or all of the following skills and experience:
·  Exposure to data / data environments / databases / large data sets
·  Strong problem solver, someone unhappy with the status quo
·  An interest in coding with possible experience with R, Matlab, SAS, SQL or Python (academic experience included)
·  Analytical mind set / someone that challenges assumptions
·  Data visualisation experience- Tableau, Spotfire, Qlikview etc.

Your career path within EYC3 is what you make of it. From this role you could move into a number of different areas including data analysis, data scientist, technical business analyst, big data engineer or analytics analyst – whatever path you take we will help you achieve your goals.
