Join our Finance team and you will help enable EY client account teams and management to run the business effectively. You’ll help to improve engagement profitability, manage enterprise wide risk and support market development activities. You will support EY planning, reporting and forecasting and analysis, or help EY people manage day-to-day activities, such as managing engagements, process and auditing time and expense or invoice processing. You’ll also work with other parts of our organization, sharing your financial experience and insights to achieve specific goals. We are seeking qualified candidates for an exciting career opportunity as a Financial Management Associate (FMA) in our Bahamas team. The FMA must be able to team with senior executives with regard to financial analysis (including but not limited to suggesting various pricing strategies and providing budget to actual analysis) as well as advising on billing strategy for assigned clients.
This position requires strong accounting knowledge and the ability to utilize the firm’s many technological resources and a comfort with developing and suggesting financial strategies to assist the firm’s executives in achieving their financial goals for each client. The FMA requires multi-tasking skills to successfully balance competing priorities along with a positive attitude and a willingness to be flexible. The FMA must be able to maintain a book of business comprised of standard accounts and maintain multiple executive level relationships. In order to be successful in this function, the FMA must be able to provide meaningful analysis, draw conclusions from the results and make appropriate recommendations. The FMA communicates best practices to clients and co-workers alike by contributing innovative and creative solutions that improve efficiency, quantitative and qualitative results, and will be required to delegate more administrative tasks to an off-site Financial Assistant. In addition, as the firm will be deploying a new financial system in the near term, the FMA will play an integral part in the deployment and change management of the new system, and will help champion the roll-out of the new system to client serving staff.
Required Skills/Experience/Attributes:
· An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business administration
· A minimum of two (2) years of recent relevant financial management experience; prior experience in a professional services firm would be an asset
· Excellent project, time management, and problem-solving skills
· An advanced proficiency with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, etc.)
· Superior interpersonal and communication skills
· The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and the capacity to work a flexible schedule, as some overtime will be required during peak periods
· A dedication to teamwork and integrity within a professional environment
