FAAS Digital  designs, builds and implements digital solutions for the finance and accounting functions of our clients.Our clients look to us to identify and diagnose core problems and implement financial technology solutions.This work often requires collecting, combining, transforming, analyzing and reporting data to reveal insights that support our clients’ decision making or creating automation solutions for their finance and accounting processes. The core business objectives desired by our clients tend to focus on increasing efficiency, mitigating risks and creating value related to critical finance processes.

 

The opportunity:  

Our Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) Digital Team is growing , and as an Experienced Staff, you’ll play a key role in that growth. Working across all industries and interacting with our clients, you’ll develop your career by communicating and providing expertise around data analytics and other digital solutions to solve our client’s accounting, finance, governance and regulatory concerns. You’ll be able to deliver exceptional client experience through the use of technology to help our clients perform more valuable and meaningful work.

Your key responsibilities:

The nature of this role means that you will be recognized as a primary day-to-day contact for our clients. That means you’ll need to understand how to translate our client’s various business needs into data centric applications and solutions.

Potential responsibilities of a FAAS Digital Experienced Staff may include the following:

·  Develop and maintain productive working relationships with FAAS clients
·  Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
·  Design and develop data structures, ETL scripts or programs for data management and analytics
·  Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
·  Manage project tasks and report on work status
·  Stay informed of the current issues, profession and business/economic developments relevant to the client’s industry
·  Continually learn new technologies, share knowledge with team members and enhance service delivery

 

 

Skills and attributes for success:

·  You should have experience in the following finance function competencies:
·  Finance function process assessments, design and improvement (e.g., record to report, procure to pay, order to cash, budgeting and planning, cash management, etc.)
·  Ability to understand and document various system architectures and dataflows
·  Finance enabling tools and technology (e.g., functional understanding of ERP systems, finance modules, and financial reporting technologies)
·  Design and model key value drivers for enterprise performance management
·  You should have experience in the following technology competencies:
· 
·  Proficient or strong comprehension of at least one programming language such as Python, JavaScript, C++, etc.
·  Proficient or strong comprehension ofdata transformation and/or data integration technologies such as Microsoft SQL and/or Alteryx
·  Proven experience within the analytics domain gathering business and technical requirements, solution design, build, testing, and solution deployment
·  Strong technical writing skills and advanced data analytics knowledge
·  Experience with business intelligence and data visualization and reporting platforms such as Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Spotfire, etc.
·  You should also have the following business and client leadership skills and capabilities:
·  Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing
·  The capability and desire to be part of a high performing team
·  Strong consulting and client-facing skills
·  Passionate about delivering innovation to help solve client business problems

 

To qualify for the role you must have:

·  A bachelor's degree preferably in Finance, Accounting ; however, we will consider candidates with degrees in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Economics with work experience in the accounting or finance industry OR a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Economics with a minor in Accounting or Finance
·  1 to 3 years of relevant experience
·  Pursuing or willing to timely pursue a certification such as CPA, CAP, CISA, CBIP or CMA
·  Strong consulting and client-facing skills
·  Experience working for a top tier Consulting firm, Big Four or Industry experience with a strong focus on business improvement, finance and accounting process assessments and improvements, finance transformation projects or digital transformation projects.
·  Ability and willingness to travel 40-60% on short notice

 

Ideally, you’ll also have experience or interests in the following areas:

·  A master's degree preferably in Finance, Accounting or Economics, however will consider candidates with degrees in Computer Science, Mathematics Engineering or related discipline with experience in the accounting or finance industry
·  Data architecture, information governance, data integration, master data management including data capture, reporting & analytics, enterprise content and knowledge management
·  Building quantitative and statistical models, including machine learning
·  Artificial intelligence and related fields
·  Robotic process automation and rules-based automation
·  Financial consolidation processes and technology
·  Financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes and technology
·  Financial statement close processes and technology
·  Experience with the Alteryx framework fordata transformation and/or data integration
·  Experience with documenting complex client processes in detail
·  Experience with distributed ledger technology such as Hyperledger, Quorum, Corda, Solidity, and the Ethereum blockchain protocol
·  Experience with NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB
·  Experience with stream and/or batch processing technologies, such as Kafka, Storm, Spark, Hadoop, etc.
·  Experience with Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, Heroku
·  Experience with at least one ETL solutions such as SSIS, Talend, or similar
·  Experience with full stack technology such as ReactJS, Redux, NodeJS and Express
·  Experience with Agile Software Development and the ability to apply project management techniques to manage risk, communication and delivery
·  Constantly developing your understanding of current market trends and processes and sharing your knowledge to develop junior colleagues
