EY advises clients to understand, architect, select and implement digital technology. We are looking to grow our team in a variety of areas, including the Full-Stack, Open Source, Development space.

 

The opportunity

As a Technical Consultant, you’ll help businesses realize the value they can gain from their IT investments, providing support on how digital transformation contributes to performance improvement. Most of your time will be spent collaborating with your EY team and our clients to take their experiences and requirements and make them come to life. This is a rapidly growing area, so you will have plenty of opportunity to spread your wings and continue to develop your skillset to build customer and employee facing experiences for our clients. If you enjoy working on challenging, interactive platforms and finding new ways to leverage modern frameworks (i.e. MEAN) and content management systems (i.e. Drupal), then we want to speak with you.  

 

Your key responsibilities

You will work with EY colleagues to build scalable digital platforms with smooth, responsive UIs that will be used across multiple devices.  As you create these new platforms and experiences, you will be challenged to find solutions on how to create a repository of reusable features and libraries that will accelerate the delivery of the experience.

 

In addition to your role as a developer, you will have the opportunity to explore other digital capabilities across EY’s clients to build and deploy platforms that deliver seamless customer and employee experiences across multiple platforms.  You will be expected to consult with clients and provide scalable and repeatable solutions for various experiences.

Skills and attributes for success
·  PHP development and concept of design patterns and OO techniques
·  Drupal 7 to 9 experience
·  Web application development – Angular, Node, HTML, CSS
·  Back End API Development – Microservices
·  Database development & administration
·  Managed services, IAAS, PAAS
·  Application performance tuning
·  Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery
·  Cloud technology, AWS or Azure preferred, CloudFront, Elasticache, AutoScaling, Lambda
·  Offline support and highly resilient applications, chaos testing
·  Test automation & unit testing
·  Monitoring, site reliability engineering and application security
·  Ability to consult on digital/web marketing technology and evaluate clients’ technical ecosystem against best practices
·  Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing and integrating enterprise business processes with technology skills
·  Collaborating with team members in developing applicable methodologies, tools, approaches, points of view, thought leadership and accelerators to differentiate EY in the market

To qualify for the role, you must have
·  A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Accounting, Finance or a related field and 3+ years of related work experience; or a Graduate Degree and approximately 2 years of related work experience
·  3+ years of experience of full-stack development leveraging tools like PHP, Angular, ReactJS, and Node
·  A valid driver’s license in the US, willingness and ability to travel to meet client needs
·  Prior consulting experience is a plus
