The opportunity
Are you a creative thinker who enjoys all-facets of marketing? EY Canada’s Demand Generation team develop and execute on fully integrated marketin plans to support the business from brand to demand. This dynamic team helps build the EY brand, develop relationships with key influencers and support revenue generation for the firm. We seek interns with a strong growth mindset who are looking for an opportunity to work in an array of marketing-related job functions.
The Demand Generation intern will work closely with the team and support market segment, service line and solution leaders with planning and execution of marketing-related tactics. The successful candidate will continuously deliver innovative ideas, proactive thinking and recommendations around marketing and account plans.
Your key responsibilities
· The individual will be required to work on several marketing projects simultaneously including brand campaigns, content development, communications, social media, events, reporting and ad-hoc support in other areas as required
· Drafts for review and edits a variety of communications
· Participates in the planning, development and execution of event initiatives for respective market segment, service line or campaign
· Helps develop content to support the go-to-market strategy
· Works with members of the EY Markets Organization, including various Centres of Excellence, Field Activation, Accounts and Pursuits teams
· Assists with development and execution of digital marketing (website, webcasts, podcasts, social media and email marketing)
· Provides program analytic and ROI support for a variety of marketing campaigns
· Other duties as required
Skills and attributes for success
· Willing to learn all facets of marketing as they relate to EY (content, communications, events, social media, webcasts, digital marketing, etc.)
· Creative thinker with the ability to come up with new and innovative ways to go-to-market
· Can prioritize day-to-day decisions and work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
· Familiarize themselves with and adhere to firm policies and procedures
· Possess excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with different personalities across the organization’s hierarchy
· Strong project management skills
· Attention to detail
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook and have a basic understanding of Excel
· Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills to take complex information and create succinct presentations
· Be curious and enthusiastic about learning and professional development
To qualify for the role, you must have
· Available to work full time for the term – May to August 2020
· Be enrolled in a post-secondary school or have recently graduated with a degree in marketing
· Flexible and able to work on several marketing projects at the same time
