Essential Functions of the Job:

 

 

As a UX Architect, you will:

·         Work with the product managers and help originate new products in concert with EY Service Lines’ customer needs and business model

·         Envision, define, document and evangelize user experiences for both desktop and mobile applications

·         Work with a group of other UX designers, Interaction Designers and user research professionals to help drive the user experience for multiple portfolios

·         Translate the organization’s brand strategy to the products you design

·         Understand business needs and product requirements, and transform that understanding into user-focused and intuitive products and interfaces,

·         Cultivate and builds relationships across business & IT and industry to gather intelligence and bring insight about the wider enterprise picture and enable the leveraging of emerging industry standards and approaches within EY

·         Oversee the development and implementation of an ongoing communication plan to educate stakeholders on the purpose and benefits of good user experience design.

 

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

 

·         Be very strong in basics of User Experience design in identifying key features and interactions, experimenting to evaluate the efficacy and make frugal choices before diving in!

·         Handle ambiguity and able to move forward with imperfect information and get things done in a rapidly changing environment

·         Must be comfortable working in an environment where ideas are challenged;

·         Should possess good product instinct and excellent project management skills to push projects over the finish line with sound planning and persistent execution;

 

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

 

·         Prior experience in creating great user experiences across multiple products with a great portfolio.

·         Fluency with design tools (Sketch, Invision, Axure, Photoshop, Zeplin among others)

·         Knowledge of agile practices, design thinking, visual designs

·         Ability to quickly turn around wireframes and mockups as needed

·         Great idea of common usability methods and principles

·         Excellent understanding of Information Architecture and Interaction Design.

 

Supervision Responsibilities:

 

·         Provides formal and informal coaching on-the-job to grow team members to their full potential.

·         Delivers results through others, leveraging the ability to lead through influence

·         Receives general direction from leadership of the Product Architecture & Technology Strategy group

 

 

Other Requirements:

 

Regular international and domestic travel. Reasonable extension of the working day should be expected commensurate with the needs to fulfil the obligations of the role

 

Job Requirements:

Education:

 

Required

·         Bachelor’s/Master’s degree from Tier 1 school in design/engineering.

Preferred

·         Bachelor’s/Master’s from NID, IDC, IIT, or an international design institute.

 

Experience:

 

·         7+ years of experience at very large web scale product companies with exposure to senior leaders and C-level management.

·         At least 5+ years of experience in User Experience Design, Interaction Design.

·         You are Glocal , ie.

o   Can coordinate / collaborate with teams & stakeholders in multiple geographies

o   Manage teams with participants in multiple geographies.

o   Can quickly form strong working relationships with colleagues within and outside your location

·         Solid business acumen, management and marketing communication skills

·         Significant experience in presenting ideas, products, concept papers to varied audiences.
