The opportunity
The Campus Recruiter is responsible for recruiting qualified campus graduates to fill entry-level and intern positions in designated geographic areas or Business Units (BU). The incumbent coordinates recruiting activities, develops and maintains relationships with campus Placement Offices and faculty, is responsible for the firm's brand and image on the college campus, provides client serving recruiting teams with guidance on recruitment processes and is the point person for students, the Campus Recruiting Leader and the Shared Services Center. The Campus Recruiter also coordinates with Recruiting Assistants and others to ensure the appropriate care of candidates and administers and coordinates Area/BU internship programs.
Your key responsibilities
· Recruit on campus to fill staff, intern and co-op positions.
· Act as primary recruiting point of contact for key client groups regarding specific candidates; develop and maintain relationships with academic faculty, career office employees, students, the Campus Relations Partner, client serving recruiting teams, the Campus Recruiting Leader and the Shared Services Center.
· Work with Campus Recruiting Leader to recruit in accordance with national guidelines and the law, and to address EY’s position at strategic schools to ensure a consistent recruiting approach comparable to those of other top-rated firms.
· Coordinate Area and Business Unit internship programs.
· Actively recruit internal client serving volunteers to represent EY on campus. Train clients and provide subject matter expertise on recruiting issues.
· Implement sourcing strategies to identify talented candidates while paying particular attention to diversity initiatives.
· Maintain a constant and steady focus on the local market-place and disseminate local market intelligence to key client groups.
· Coordinate with Recruiting Assistants and others to ensure the appropriate care of candidates.
· Assist with national initiatives as needed.
· Utilize firm standard tools to capture all recruiting and hiring activity.
· Receives general supervision and is competent to work independently within area of expertise. Review of work generally occurs at longer intervals.
· Might take responsibility for a small subset of an HR project and work independently with periodic feedback.
· Administers HR programs and policies and can draw on experience and knowledge to interpret and advise on situations that deviate somewhat from the norm.
· Assist in employee relations functions.
· Deliver new hire orientation programs.
Skills and attributes for success
· Knowledge and application of recruitment/placement laws and practices.
· Knowledge of the firm and its practice grows beyond the basics.
· Strong knowledge of firm recruiting policy, procedures and databases.
· Knowledge of Firmwide Orientation and service line orientation programs.
· Demonstrates intermediate understanding and application of principles and practices of a specific professional discipline.
To qualify for the role, you must have
· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience in recruitment and selection
· Approximately 2- 4 years’ work experience, with campus recruitment is preferred
· Proficiency in the following competencies: strong organizational skills, ability to attract and retain talent, understanding the business, relationships and oral communications
