Graduate Quantity Surveyor – Graduate Programme:Capital Allowances Consultant – EY Dublin

Background:

Due to continued growth of the capital allowances market, EY are looking for a graduate to join the Capital Allowances team within the overall Dublin Tax practice. The successful candidate will receive full training and support and will report to a manager (Chartered Quantity Surveyor) and will be under the overall supervision of the Tax Partner leading the Capital Allowances team.Previous knowledge of capital allowances is not essential. 

This role is suited to the following degree qualifications:

· 
Quantity Surveying

· 
Construction Management

· 
Other built environment degree

The Role:

· 
Collating and analysing bills of quantities, contract sums and final accounts

· 
Data collection, entry and analysis of construction costs including new build, redevelopment, extensions and refurbishment projects

· 
Supporting the team in conducting site surveys of properties

· 
Interpreting and measuring drawings and take off

· 
Undertaking reconstruction cost estimates for existing buildings as part of capital allowances acquisition claims

· 
Drafting tenders and proposal documents for new projects

· 
Supporting members of the tax team with project delivery

· 
Prepare detailed client ready capital allowance reports

· 
Attending client service meetings

· 
Developing and applying an understanding of capital allowances, and other property tax reliefs

Professional Qualifications:

EY would support the successful candidate in undertaking a relevant professional qualification (e.g. professional membership of RICS/SCSI, CIOB, a tax qualification or another relevant professional qualification).
